Wish they would do the opening talk like this now ,Walter Gabriel was 'great me old pal me old beauty ' I have been listening to the Archers since I was 8 years old now and at 67 and still do .

Been listening for many years now and it’s much slower paced then. People voices have changed as well, those that are still alive.

As I said on another comment, I am very grateful for all the episodes. Would it be at all possible to have more 80s and 90s episodes please? That is the time I came to England and I started being an avid archers listener. Many thanks

Used to listen with my nan when I was a wee lad would love to have the full experience of start to finish of the full episodes please if you could find there is so many but thank you so much for your help with the episodes thus far god bless 🙏

I know of The Archers by reputation and would love to listen from start to present. Does anyone know where I can find the first recordings and whole series? (Amazon have not delivered)

Is it the same actress playing Pat Archer? I can't tell (whereas Brian and Jennifer are still so wonderfully recognisable.) Also does anyone know off hand who the baby would be? Enjoyed the episode. Many thanks for posting :)

Wonderful to hear the old voices. David Archer sounds very different, though.. Did the actor change at some point?

There have been three David Archers. Tim Bentinck has been doing it since 1982, prior to that it was Gordon Gardner and Nigel Carrivick.

Days when Joe Grundy as played by Haydn Jones wasn't as cuddly as he became later played by Edward Kelsey. Clarrie, Eddie and Mike's accents aren't as broad either.

That's a different Clarrie. Think it's Fiona Mathieson who was only in it briefly.

Just been told elsewhere this is Heather Bell the original Clarrie who took the role back over from Rosalind Adams in 2013. Amazing how different she sounds.
