I can't really argue with you picks. Honestly I feel this year (Well last year as of writing this comment) to be one of the hardest to pick a team of the year. Not just the ridiciuosly high standards Ireland and France kept up, but the smaller nations like Portugal stepping up on the big stage and giving it everything. So many new players emerge to me this year (last year) and hopefully be able to keep an eye on them. Along with the end of some of the greats like Alun Wyn Jones, Tipuric, Sexton, Barrett, Snowsill, Earls, Uini Atonio, Romain Taofifenua and Hogg to name just a few. Lets hope 2024 delivers some cracking rugby. Happy New Year everyone!

I think if 'they' ever made a Webb Ellis Grandslam Triple Crown for rugby commentary and understandable entertaining statistic analysis. You would Own it. I am so greatful for your input to the future of the game I Love. Happy New Year, hope you own a Country of your own some day ... I can just see everyone lashing out to rugby practice every Morning before breakfast and rolling into life as it should be and then going to Worship King Squidge. 😀

Can't argue against any of these choices. So many back 3 players turned up this year in terms of form, but Keenan, Penaud and Jordan were all ridiculously good

I have no problem with any of these selections, but the fact remains, neither winger he selected did anything against Kolbe. And Jordan was downright bullied by Kolbe in the final. He’s hurt by the fact that the Boks never let him go at any easier teams. He only played the big games

Kolbe skinned Penaud whilst giving up 20Kg and a foot in height. Mark Telau is truly gifted and slippery. The common NH bias despite all team performances to the contrary

Somehow think Jordan has become underrated, his mix of technical excellence and electric playmaking is unrivalled in the mens game outside of Penaud, and he's the best support runner in the world bar none. Plus he's still relatively young at 25 and hasn't gotten to play his natural position at test level yet....

I thinks its because it almost looks too easy for him. I almost feel he makes sublime look boring. And I would say Keenan would surpass him in the technical excellence/playmaking category.

I just think Jordan is a generational type of talent, and I hope that'll only become more evident when he gets to play his natural position at international level.

I am a Saffa, and I rank Will Jordan already amongst the greats. He is magic - he reminds me of Christian Cullen: always in the right place at the right time. Strong, faster than anybody else in the field and ready to finish off. I hope AB management doesn't screw up his career like they did with Cullen by moving him to center in 99

Arendse is bit of a freak for me take this into consideration this is only his second year of international rugby and he started playing club rugby 3 yrs ago and he has a wc and has never lost to newzealand and has like 1 to 2 to 3 trys a game

@@W0nderer … Kolbe made a monkey out of Penaud in the WC QF. The “honourable” mention is just dumb. The no14 pick is solid…but at n15 he picks (again) a player that has never been pst the QF in a WC. He may feature in the 6Nations .. but that competition is very weak!

To be fair, Will Jordan is an excitement machine, but boy he was very poor in the final. That performance is up for discussion as the worst individual performance in a RWC final ever. In a RWC year I think that should be important. Just an observation, and as a SAfrican I would pick KLA who was immense 😅 because I am biased like that hahaha As an addition, ironically Penaud was also a million miles away from his best against SA in the quarters, getting beautifully burned by Kolbe for that try 😊
