It's sad that we were all so worried about what people think so much. It ruins our lives.

Being a loner is a very powerful thing. I’ve been a loner for as long as I can remember and I love it. When I was growing up, I used to be somewhat self-conscious about it because it was never looked upon as being a cool thing. As a youngster, I could get along with just about anybody and I was never really awkward. I just never liked hanging out much or staying out late like many of my peers. Now that I am a mature adult, I really have grown to appreciate my life as a lone wolf. I am most comfortable when I’m by myself and it’s gives me plenty of time to think. I believe the problem with dividing your time between so many people is that you can lose yourself. One must maintain their center or their core no matter what circumstances arise.

Man honestly it depends on how you look at it. I think the only reason I'm a loner is because I got social anxiety. I want to talk to people and what not but my mind always be playin itself ngl. Like I kinda wanna gf I can talk to and teller what's goin on and what not but my mind thinks it's funny to be playin tricks😬😔. Bein this way in 8th grade fixin to go too highschool is gonna suck....

I'm a loner. Loners appreciate other loaners. List what you think are qualities of loaners. Loners are observers Loners are good listeners Loners are creative Loners need alone time Loners are independent Loners don't need the approval of others Loners can be 'in their head' often

Honestly I think everyone is different, even loners. Some are alone because they are introverted, others because of trauma and therefore not being able to trust others, others really don't understand the culture and the system they are in... I am kind of all of these so...

It isn't sad to be a loner. True friendship is a rare and valuable thing (and this is true for everybody). Friendship is a good thing, but it is quality over quantity. Most people get this wrong, and think more 'friends' are better. With this attitude people end up substituting good friends with shallow, manipulative, broken relationships. I am really happy to have a couple of good friends in my neighbourhood, and keeping all people who claim to have 100's of friends at arms-length. Thanks for your vid :)

I believe that you take on characteristics of the people you surround yourself with just as they take on your characteristics. so the people you have around you change who you are as a person. so the question becomes (in my mind) are the people you associate with people you want to be like? I am not unwilling to have friends, I am just selective on who I allow to influence me in such a manner. another way to look at it would be to ask if you want to change yourself to fit in or wait until you find a place where you fit in as you are. if you don't fit in as you are, maybe its not the place for you

I actually enjoy being a loner rather than having way too many friends cuz all those things change the way you see having many friends.. its actually not that great but having 1 or 2 real friends is all i need

#1 benefit of being alone is Judgment Free!!! I agree with you about that. You can do whatever you want & nobody has to raise their voice & comment "how toxic you are" or other negative comments. #2 benefit: you have more time to self-reflect of who you are as a person I learned how to be like a monk when I am alone. I self-reflect a lot. Meanwhile whoever comes into my life, I welcome unconditionally with open arms. But when they leave, I let them leave & do not bother to chase them. If they came back, I still welcome them with open arms & judgment free. Being alone thought me how to be more compassionate with myself & others around me.

Your dog is adorable! In high school and all through my 20s I hung out and worked with a lot of people, I’ve always been introverted but felt I had to be more social and extroverted to succeed and be happy but now in my 30s I totally enjoy being a loner! Only people I see on a regular basis are my husband and immediate family! I also work alone at night. When I go out shopping I will be friendly and socialize with people and I have a few friends I talk to online but honestly I enjoy being alone and don’t want anyone at my house! I spend my free time reading, writing and playing guitar. I have a dog and cats and they are great company, I find people who are loners are more loyal and trustworthy, in my experience the really extroverted people were a lot of drama! Glad to hear others are also happy being a loner, it is so peaceful! The less people you hang out with the better off you are, there is no drama! Do

You don't have to be a loner all the time. You're a nice girl. YOu can make a friend to go and get ice cream or go to a restaurant. I'm 50 now and the older you get the harder it gets to make new friends. All the friends I had when I was young have died or just slipped away a long time ago.

@@souldrinker8417 Dude I hear ya but only just. I'm an Australian and I'm not fluent in jive talk but I think I do know what ya sayin. Your social anxiety is probably causing you to seem less approachable to other people for a variety of reasons. Suppose a person wanted to talk to you but sensed that you are socially nervous and uncomfortable. A thoughtful person would keep away from you because they don't want to make you more uncomfortable than you already are. On the other hand, if you were totally chilled out and supremely confident in social situation, it makes you much easier to approach and people will want to talk to you. If you wanted to dedicate yourself to fixing these problems there's a lot of help and advice available nowadays. I wouldn't be surprised if there's a group especially for people with social anxiety to get together and do some activities to gain confidence. Look for ways to get what you want. You will find things that will work if you try hard enough. I wish you all the best.

Being a loner is beyond awesome! I would much rather spend my evenings eating hot buttery popcorn and drinking ice cold Coca-Cola watching episodes of the classic BBC series Doctor Who, appropriately enough about a lone English gentlemen eccentric who travels through space and time, than around a bunch of obnoxious, drunken, self conscious, meat heads. These types always seem to have little imagination and independence and always seem troubled by peer pressure. They will never know the joy and serenity of the loner...

I wonder why you came to me at this point in my life. I too have become a loner, I guess. The older one gets, the harder it becomes to make good friendships. All my friends from my more youthful years have gone on to other places in their lives. I think that we (loners) have an advantage because we’ve learned how to move through life’s challenges and complications. We tend to be much more analytical. Cute pup!

i don't know..., i am a loner, but i don't really feel exactly the same way as you do! i am happy for you and the others who do, but the only thing i like of being a loner was/is that i really had time to think complex thoughts through thoroughly! i had the feeling all those people hanging out with "gangs" don't have the time for that!.. and when they have the time, the thought they once had has slipped their minds and/or they're to occupied with other trivial thoughts like clothes and make up n'stuff...! now, i don't know if thats true, but thats how i saw/see it! with people around you, you have to react so much on what they're sending out (emotions, trivial questions, important questions they haven't thought through as much as i did..)! i don't have time to really think as much as i like when people are around me and reacting on all that i mentioned in the parenthesizes coasts me a lot of energy... the last point in them don't, though, i enjoy deep thoughts and debating about them! :-) thats the only thing i really appreciate of being alone (not lonely, like you've mentioned, these concepts are completely different)! good video, though, but i was so distracted from your fingers, because you kept fumble with them! xD

When i feel i want to visit someone they get happy that i visit and talk a lot. I might let them accompany me for a while but it has to do my thing. Chi Chi stalked Goku and begged him to marry her, so it might work.

I am a loner and have been all my life. Many feel like you are lying when you say you rather have it that way. Most people want to be around people most of the time and be alone some of the time. However, a loner wants to be alone most of the time and be around people some of the time. I have heard of instances where some people literally have hundreds of "friends", on youtube, twitter, etc., but ended up committing suicide because they were very lonely. There is a difference between the words "loner" and "lonely". A loner decides that this is the form of life that is beneficial to them and they are happier in being that way. A lonely person is depressed, mostly because they are trying to please people who really don't care about them. Whatever the reason loners are better equipped to live a life alone.

I agree with your benefits, but I think what you're talking about its introversion. I believe that loner is more a sad and lonely state of mind (that's just my interpretation). I have a few friends on the outside, but I consider myself a loner because it's more my ego that has friends rather than the person inside. I feel that the loner state of mind is feeling alone in this world rather than just not hanging out with other people. However, I love this video and agree with your points

Another benefit is that a loner can have a very diverse range of interests - more than one may be allowed if one is to identify as part of a particular scene/group/crowd/tribe, or have a partner whose interests may be very narrow in contrast to one's own. I don't even have a pet. One can also silence the mind when there's downtime, while if friends are calling or a partner/flatmate wants to tell you about their dramas you have to engage with that rather than chill.

I actually quite hate people. And i think it is inferiority to needa huuge social network as they can´t entertain theirselves..... Offcourse, life is pretty boring sometimes but it is also cause i live in the city, i´d LOVES to live in the nature, just alone surrounded by the nature.

Voluntary loner is great involuntary loner is not great I am a loner not through choice and I can tell you it is not great spending lots of time on your own when you don't want to destroys your mental health. Plus you have no future with no people in your life.

Tidy up your room, your giving loners a bad name lol. Whether your a loner or not is not the issue, however you must like yourself and not be guilty about it, then other aspects of your life will fall in line, so basically we are on the same page. Your coming across here as a happy well adjusted caring person, i wish only good things to come your way. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Women can't be loners. Ya just can't. You're already turning it into some kind of mocement thing LOL!!! The proof women can't be by themselves is that you're ALL making videos about it. Real loners don't make videos about it; they don't see it as something special or worth talking about let alone making youtube videos on it. Ya don't have anybody to talk to so now you talk to the camera and hope lots o' people will watch you. Funny.

You bloody fool! The loner is never alone. Ever. The loner keeps his or her own council and is not dependent on others for joy and fulfillment.
