Food looked good. You’re right about butchering deer if you don’t know how to cut it up it will be tough! No offense but some of those cuts you had there had a huge tendon running through them and lots of sinew. I butcher lots of deer every year and it pays off to remove that in the beginning, especially in your cooking application.... Try taking those same cuts and rolling them in some seasoned flour and frying them in that lard. It’s hard to eat it any way other than that... Make you some gravy and mashed potatoes and you got it! This fat boy been raised on it. Thanks for the video! ✌️

@@fillyourlifewithferenc5567 you definitely need to trim that fat and sinew. Cut your steaks a little thicker, and lose the hammer. The very most important thing though is to trim & You want to let the deer age at least 4 days between 33-45f. All store-bought meat is done this way and it is a required scientifically based practice if you want good meat. " Gamey" and tough deer are always going to be deer that were not properly trimmed & were not allowed to exit rigor mortis before cooking/freezing. Everyone who I've ever heard say that they don't like deer meat have only ever tried poorly processed poorly cooked examples. If you cook deer well done it will be much worse than other meats. If you want it well-done you need to cook it to medium-well and then let it rest in the pan. I prefer to give a good sear and then pop it into a hot oven for 8 minutes for a good medium well, or pan sear and cook till rare, then let it rest off the heat in the pan. I almost exclusively eat deer as my meat source. This stuff is something that most people never learn, even most hunters. As all of this is already done when you get meat at the store. Since I have learned this and started applying it & cooking it properly I have not had a single piece of gamey or tough meat.

Easy doesn't entail using pine peppercorn whatevers, learn to title. It's called a meat tenderizer btw
@jakemitchell16713 жыл бұрын
Please change your video title. There is absolutely NOTHING "easy" about a recipe that uses hard-to-find ingredients. Here's "EASY:" Salt, pepper, garlic powder. Apply to both sides of the venison and let sit for 20 minutes. Put 1/2 cup self-rising flour in a bag. Add 1/2 tsp of salt, 1/2 tsp of paprika to the flour in the bag. Heat up oil (olive, peanut, veg/canola) in a skillet to 375F. Shake the bag of venison until the pieces are well covered in the flour mixture. Shake off the excess. Place the pieces of venison in the skillet one at a time and cook to a golden brown on both sides, usually about 2-3 min per side. Remove from oil and let drain on paper towels. NOW you have the BEST, EASIEST venison recipe!! If you tenderized your deer meat, it will be tender and AWESOME!
