I watched this with someone that's from China, and there are hidden things in this movie: 1.) in the beginning, the girl shot with an arrow isn't fluent in Mandarine. 2.) the 3 ninjas towards the middle are speaking Korean 3.) the old ninja guy is speaking Cantonese. 4.) when old priest asks old ninja where they are, the subtitles say, "we're in a sacred place", but the ninja actually said, "we're in New Jersey." 5.) the brother, he wears a headband that says "brother" in Mandarine, so it's foreshadowing if you can read it. 6.) the sign outside the door of the ninja tent, it looks like it would say something philosophical, but it actually says, "enter here."

I read the Wikipedia page for this movie, and yeah, the creators knew exactly what they were doing. The OG creator made a short film/fake trailer for it for a film class, and it got a couple thousand views, so he thought “fuck it, let’s make a really stupid movie.” He actually said that there is nothing deep behind the film and it is made to be pure dumb fun. I feel that every incredibly stupid/hilarious part of this movie was 100% intentional. I could sit for hours pointing out every detail of stupidity. This film is a masterpiece. First minute in, it became an instant classic in my eyes. You could say it was…God-tier.

Honestly, the concept of a priest who hears all the confessions also being a serial killer who murders other killers (kinda like Dexter) is pretty awesome. You could pull that off, maybe as a side character.

So "Chris Angel" in this movie is actually a musician that goes by Voltaire (character's name is Altair which is also hilarious). Voltaire has written a lot of fun/weird alternative music, one of his most famous being an original song for Cartoon Network's The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy. He wrote the song "Brains" for the episode about the meteor crash and the (oddly enough) brain eating alien that lived inside it. I highly recommend checking it out.
