Honestly, this will probably be the only wing I'll ever fly when I get into the sport. I'm not rich and, while I'm not afraid of death, I'm more afraid of a hospital bill. All I care about is safety. What will a more advanced wing get me? Ability to flip over the wing easier or go faster? LOL yeah, I could absolutely care less about that. I just want to get high into the sky and feel safe. Period.

I couldn't agree more with that outlook. I have used my beginner wing for 4 years now. I just cruise and sight-see. I am alright with death, but the thought of living with permanent injuries terrifies me.

It’s a good thing you’re not afraid of death. Jeff, who has appeared flying with Tucker on this channel (including the famous flying to Dunkin video), was killed in a paramotor crash near Beach Lake, PA a few days ago. He was a safe, highly respected paramotor instructor with tons of experience. There was another guy killed less than two years ago where, according to internet reports, Tucker was the person who went to pick up his gear after it was released by the police. That pilot had completed all of the proper professional training down in Florida as well. This sport is incredibly dangerous even with all of the proper training and experience. It’s a lot of fun but the odds of a fatal accident are very high. I wish people in this sport wouldn’t gloss over that fact so often while also trying to sell equipment to potential new pilots.

I had exactly that progression myself. Earned my skydive B license 10 years ago, but haven't jumped much in last 8 years due to an old knee injury. But what I found I really enjoyed in skydiving was time under canopy. Loved exiting the plane and being open at 9k ft, lol. So last year, I pulled the trigger on PPG-wheeled... saves my weak knee, gives me tons of time under wing, and I don't have to cram myself into a C182 in 100 degree weather with 3 other dirt divers to get that time. Best of both worlds!

I ordered mine when they were first released. The instructor told me if I could wait 2 weeks Ozone would start shipping the new Power 2 model or I could just order the old model and get it now. I'm glad I waited because I really love it. I live in the hot dry desert where the wind gusts hardly ever let up and the thermals start kicking off at 7-8 AM so even calm days can be pretty bumpy. As a new pilot with a fear of heights I appreciated it's solid and stable feel above me and that it never gave me a reason to fear it even in some pretty big bumps. As a "more experienced" pilot and someone who is still afraid of heights, I appreciate the Mojo 2's solid and stable feel above me which now gives me trust and confidence that I can just relax and enjoy the flight without the stress of actively flying it every second. Even with a few heart stopping moments the wing handled it like a rock and it still has never gave me a reason to fear it or a reason to ever buy any other wing .

Hi Tucker! Great episode! I like the fact that an older gentleman like myself, can get into this sport and use a wing that allows for a much slower pace! I also like the fact that you were talking about catching thermals, using this wing without an engine, so it seems that this would be a great starting point for a beginner like myself! It would be nice if you were able to demonstrate this in one of your vids. I know you like the motor - but it would really be cool to see some of that thermal flying!! Thanks again!!

Jeff was a well known guy in my area and you would see him up in the air flying with friends every chance he got. about the factory maillons: The Mojo pwr2 doesn't trim to a higher AoA than the paraglider neutral position. There is no neutral position marker because 'full in' is neutral, so I guess the factory sees no problem locking that in. You can only untrim the wing, and then not enough to count as reflex. Only about 3" of untrim range as well as 3" speedbar. Compare that to 6" range of speedbar for the Mojo 6 paraglider. Not usual to put trims on a non-powered wing.

The malleons on the trimmers are there because that's what keeps the wing A rated. When you remove them it loses that rating and becomes unrated. It's supposed to be a "do at your own risk" thing while allowing them to sell it as an A wing. I think it says all this in the documentation.

Regarding the trimmer locks- From the Ozone website- "This wing has passed the criteria required by the DGAC and has been load tested to the EN 926.1 standard. In addition to our own extensive testing, it has also been independently flight tested to the EN 926.2 standard with the trimmers set to the slow position. Releasing the trimmers, or flying outside of the EN certified weight range invalidates any EN flight certification. As delivered, the wing does not conform to the EN 926.2 standard due to the inclusion of the trimmer risers." This kind of reads like no wing that has trimmers can earn EN926.2, which to my limited knowledge is pretty much all wings? Obviously flying overloaded is stupid and should invalidate any ratings. 926.1 is an interesting read, the loads they test to are huge.

If I ever have an opportunity to get into the sport I would happily go for this wing. I do have a question though. For cross country flying on a trike without a support vehicle following you, could I carry a second wing that’s more speed orientated for those days where the wind is calm or will that compromise a weight limit? I just had the thought of being able to switch between wings if I ever felt like either the air is calm enough for speed or has a bit of turbulence that’s okay for the Mojo.

I like the idea of been able to dual purpose between motor and free flight. Would you not need to add extra weight to make up for the lack of weight coming from the motor though as I hear its better to be on the heavy side than the light and that engine weight will be a bit of a slimming down.

Can you do a video that compares wing on an efficiency point of view? I’m wanting a wing that safe, stable but also efficient for XC. I’m new to the sport and overwhelmed with marketing info

I feel like if I am ever able to get into the sport I’d like to get something that’s a touch more advanced than the mojo, such as the spyder or roadster, simply because I’m not sure I’ll ever have the money to buy a second wing just because I want to advance my skills

could you talk a little about how to transport this entire equipment on a sedan, I have avalon, what are my options. Also, what health insurance would do great across all states. I may sign up for the classes up in PA for September training, thanks, Marus

Do you find that you have to "check" non reflex gliders like the mojo harder in turbulence? I know that the reflex profile of more advanced wings offers a level of pitch stability while brakes are off. Do you find that a non reflex glider needs more active piloting?

Hey tucker what’s the difference in the sizes of the mojos? I’m assuming the bigger sizes carry more weight or handle winds better. Maybe 🤔

Tucker, I am a long-time subscriber of your channel. First, I would like to say how much you inspire me to become a member of the sport. However, I do have some issues that hold me back and I was hoping you could give me some words of encouragement. First, I am terrified of heights. I doubt I’m the first person interested in the sport to say this. Secondly, I am permanently disabled with a bad back and legs. My only concern here is that I can barely walk, never mind run. So, when I see how you sometimes have to run to gain lift, it has given me pause. Any suggestions?

Get a trike. The downside is that you will have a more lmited window of launch. As to heights, once you get beyond 1000ft its not a height, the world becomes a Lego village beneath your feet :)

I have problems on landing because I onle see with one eye, therefore I don't have 3D perception and I never know when it is the correct moment to pull down brakes and land slowly and safely. Try to land closing one eye and you will probably understand what I'm talking about. So my point is to get the slowest possible PPG glider for slow landings. Is the Mojo the only wing you would recomend me? Any other brand and model? Actually I am flying with trike and a Moster185 and landings are no problem because wheels and , but take off is a pain in the butt because it needs to be done super perfect to get to the air. I have 100 hours on trkie and everytime I take off its a " what will go wrong this time? " So I want to go back to foot launch with an Atom80 and a smooth and slow landing wing. Thanks in advance ;) Oscar

Hi Tucker, the tables with the different sizes and Mtow you showed too short. I am already 67years, and 120kg 1,93m, so for me, I think, it should be a trike with at least a thor 200 or 250 and a wing of 28sqm or more, what do you think??? Just evaluating all possibilities. Hangar places for a 3ax ultralight inavailible, or expensive 300to 600€ per month. 😣🤔😎

I'm a P-2+ paraglider pilot and I got into this sport for the sole purpose of flying paramotor when I get my P-3, I have 200 hours of free flight off 6400 feet mountain in Maui and I fly an large ozone mojo-6 and was Wondering if I could fly a pair motor with the current wing that I'm flying now? Or do you have to get tandem lines on it? Or do I have to buy another whole wing altogether? Take note. I weigh in at 210 pounds.

Morbid question, how does flying a glider affect life insurance coverage? If the worst should occur, is there special insurance available or will standard policy cover you. I realize that every insurer may be different but is there a general answer to this question.

I'd like to see you inflate a mojo with zero wind. I'm not sure about the pwr 2 but the older mojos are really damn hard to inflate under zero wind conditions. There are better and cheaper alternatives for beginners

Tucker!!! Up to now I've always figured you to be a very analytical careful calculated pilot who pretty much likes to manage risk by choosing the best conditions, equipment, training, etc. before flying. Now you tell me that you're intentionally flying overloaded, in horrible weather, and at full power no less!!! What the bleepity bleeping bleep is going on here?!? 🤣😋

Everyone will recommend the Mojo as the first wing to get but they expect you to just go blow another $4,000 on another wing 6 month later after the Mojo is boring. I went with the Roadster 2. I don’t plan on buying another wing. That is a more realistic recommendation in my opinion. A wing that you will be able to learn on. That is still way safe and it won’t be boring after 6 month because the trims on this wing actually do something unlike the 2” trims on a mojo lol.
