As many of you know, I work with a lot of weight loss patients and I have done research on fat loss, building lean muscle and hormone balance for decades. Having been 45 pounds heavier I have often been desperate to find what works and disregard what doesn’t. Now that I am responsible for helping my weight loss patients work out smarter not harder, I have had to find methods for them to maintain their hormone balance and help them keep their newly hard-earned physique. I’m going to share with you my secret. And it isn’t really a secret but it certainly is not conventional thinking. In this video, I share:
1) the pitfalls most of my weight loss patients fall into,
2) how I help them find their "minimum effective dose" of exercise",
3) what my #1 exercise tip is (spoiler alert: it is rebounding) and
4) why it is so effective for weight loss and strength training,
5) the criteria I have for selecting the right rebounder,
6) why I have a preference for the cellerciser, and
7) the most common mistakes folks make when selecting a rebounder.
PLEASE NOTE: This is not meant to be a sales video; but, to share my years of research and the clinically-tested results that I find the most useful for my KZfaq family. I have been so impressed with the cellerciser that I reached out to them and asked to become an affiliate. Please know that while your support is greatly appreciated as it helps this channel, you DO NOT NEED TO USE MY LINKS FOR YOUR PURCHASE. I care more about you getting a rebounder than WHERE you get it! Truly. Your ultimate health and finding the simplest methods for getting in your best shape is my mission...

Thanks Doc, this video was great. I love the info you give and your sincere, kind efforts to really help people be and live better comes across. I bought a Bellicon years ago over the Cellerciser (from all the extensive research I've done are the 2 best brands), only because it has bungee cords instead of springs, thinking it would be much quieter. It is very quiet, but the Cellersizer is quiet also. So, knowing what I know now I would definitely buy a Cellersizer instead. I will be buying a Cellersizer in the future. Thanks again for your videos!

catcookie~ Yeah, it really is phenomenal for tightening every trouble area, without stress on the spine. Callanetics is also available via the Callanetics app, if that is more accessible for you. I use the book, myself. what a great memory of you and your sister! XO, Dr. Linné

Physician here, my work life is insanely busy and basically my health and physical state went to the gutter. Recently , researching what to do to get back in shape in a reasonable daily commitment. Just got a cellerciser then, came across this video…well…I hope it works! I can certainly do 10 minutes a day to start.

Hi, I just found your channel and your content is amazing! Apart from the cellercizer what would you recommend for creating and shaping lean muscle?
@dr.linnelinder9403
@dr.linnelinder9403 5 ай бұрын
Well, honestly if you try my rebounding program Transform 24 (on this channel) you will get incredible lean muscle shaping, strengthening, and toning (unlike traditional weight lifting). However, if you prefer more mat work and toning, I really like intrinsic muscle work. I add in workouts from The Hamelin D'abbell Method (I like The Model Workout) and this is my go-to. I like Tracy Anderson Method (Continuity Program or Metamorphasis). Piyo (Chalene Johnson) is great. I enjoy Callanetics as well (but it can get a little boring at times). There are so many ways... Let me know if you try any! Dr. Linné

Hello, Pierre~ Thank you for the sweet comment and great questions! When cellercising, it is really not necessary to use added weight, given that every cell in your body is under the gravitational force of 1.5-2x your body weight over 100x per minute. Essentially, you do not need to lift weight AWAY from gravity when you are already increasing the weight OF gravity every time you bounce into the mat. It is more efficient than adding weight to one muscle group. The acceleration and deceleration and weight of gravitational pull is all the isotonic, isometric, callesthenic, aerobic, and flexibility training that you need to get in phenomenal shape. Does that make sense? It's not that you can't wear a weighted vest; but, it really isn't necessary. There have been studies done that show that cellercising between weight lifting circuits will increase strength by 26 %. I have copied and pasted that study for you here: "While weight-lifting, incorporating just 30 seconds of cellercising between stations can increase results up to 26% faster. The pumping action of cellercise® flushes out dead cells, lactic acid, and increases oxygen and blood flow to the cells to promote faster results and recovery time" Finding: “Dr. Larry Gettman, Ph.D. Research Director, Institute For Aerobics Research - “The study discovered that a circuit incorporating 30 seconds of running between exercise stations, dramatically improved aerobic endurance 17%, reduced body fat percentages 10.9% to 17.1% in only 12 weeks, and increased strength up to 26% in the same period.” Institute for Aerobics Research Study, “New Super Circuit Program conditions the whole body for endurance, strength and flexibility”. With that said, you can use 1-3 pounds of hand or ankle weights while cellercising; however, this should only be done with the fittest of folks as it can put unneeded stress on the body and cause injury. It is really not recommended for most folks and seriously...you are stressing your muscles plenty with the bounce into the mat... I hope that helps? XO, Linné

Pierre Farine~ My exact HIIT training routine will be featured in the Mr. Rebounder phone app very soon as "Dr. Linné's interval training" if you are using this app for your trampoline fitness. @@superoso26 ~ First off, let me say that you ask EXCELLENT questions and as long as you have them, feel free to ask! I love the engagement and if I can help, I am happy to. For your friend, here is what I would recommend: 1) make sure diet is on point. This is 80-90% of the battle. She can feel free to download the kindle version of my book The Forever Fat Burner (on amazon) or grab the "free" copy on my website (journeytowardjoy.com). The cost includes all printing, shipping, and handling but I do not make a profit on the paperback. Or, she can watch my playlist here on KZfaq for weight loss and that will get her started in the right direction. 2) I have also used multiple methods for creating and shaping lean muscle (including lots of intrinsic muscle work). I have used the Tracy Anderson Method (the muscle work, only) for the last year. Prior to that I used Physique57 or barre method and Chalene Johnson's Piyo. I have even used Callanetics (the old school DVD) which surprisingly is very effective! 3) I take a long walk on the weekends (sometimes 2-3 hours). In essence, your friend can see the fabulous results if her diet is on point and she uses the mini-trampoline every day. I recommend the intrinsic muscle work to really step up the lean muscle shaping and design but, I didn't start doing that until about a year or two ago. I only used my trampoline prior to this. It is my primary exercise, today as well. If she wants to reach out to me at drlinder@journeytowardjoy.com, she is welcome to do so. I am happy to help. XO, Dr. Linné

I'm thinking of buyng a cellarciser,can you sujest me objectively witch is best,in stability and squeeking,the bifold or trifold?? And Also....is it strong enough material to stand cat scratches,can It break?do you know?
@dr.linnelinder9403
@dr.linnelinder9403 4 жыл бұрын
Beatriz Lopez~ These are great questions! Both the bifold and trifold will provide you with great stability. It is really a matter of whether or not you plan to travel with it as the tri-fold is more travel-friendly. The bifold is fabulous quality, too. As far as squeaking, my new unit squeaked when I first got it; but, then I oiled it with multi-purpose 3-in-1 oil (on amazon). You can watch this video to learn exactly where to put the oil.: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/g6mVY8981tObdaM.html And here is another using food-grade grease: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/j515p9yCyK7DmJs.html If you use the multi-purpose oil (I used this) I recommend that you cut the very tip of the pointed dispenser on the oil can (not down to the line of the cap as suggested) as the oil comes out very fast. I had to put a towel under my springs as I dropped the oil into the eyelets/spring attachments so that I did not get oil on the frame cover. As far as the mat, it is the strongest material that you can get in a mat, that I am aware of and that I discovered in my research. My puppy likes to sometimes get on the trampoline with me and he hasn't destroyed the mat; but, truthfully, I would not let your cats scratch at it, to be safe. Keep it in a closet or folded up if your cats cannot help themselves. I really appreciate the questions and look forward to finding out what you decide. Come back and let me know! XO, Dr. Linné

is 5'8 140 to skinny?
@dr.linnelinder9403
@dr.linnelinder9403 3 жыл бұрын
T.C. You ask a great question. If you base your appropriate weight on height only, it can be a bit confusing. There is a "skinny side" and a "healthy side" for every height/weight combination out there. The truth is, your best bet is to consider a few things: 1) Are you healthy and do you appear healthy? 2) Do you feel your best at this weight or do you feel better with a few more pounds on you? As long as you are not unhealthy, struggling with any body dysmorphia, eating disorders, etc. then you should really go by the two criteria above. Weight can be such a personal preference, so if your physician is not concerned with any mental/emotional component to your weight, and if you are healthy, strong, thriving, well-nourished, etc. then celebrate this. To give you a personal example, when I was 45 pounds heavier, I was considered a "healthy weight" but I didn't feel my best. Now I am considered almost underweight; but, my body fat percentage and my body composition are very healthy and in the normal range. So it has to be an individualized journey that only you and your physician, together, can determine. I hope that helps... All the best to you, Dr. Linné
