Am I the only person who didn't focus on a specific build for this game? Like, how are people playing solely as Assassin's or Warriors or Hunters? I don't understand how that works. I put my points into all three because you need all three. I need my bow to be strong when I'm using it, I approach most things stealthy so I need my Assassin's perks to be up, but if all goes to shit and I need to fight, then I need that warrior damage...are people really only focusing on one thing? Focusing on a single build is one aspect of RPG's I've never adopted...I always have to go with "jack of all trades"...you never know when you'll need something you didn't focus on. But with this game, I realize they leaned more into RPG territory...but to not focus on two of the three things seems to seriously handicap you.

I have the kronus and arachne daggers. I like using the arachne ones the most, I also have the full noxious set and a poison bow too.

Daggers rock! I say that since up until a few days ago I primarily used swords . In fact I was using an epic (poison) sword as my primary weapon with your ULTIMATE Warrior build until then. Subsequently I tried the Arachne’s daggers since they have poison damage and I loved them immediately! I also engraved them with the 30% armor penetration perk thinking that since they’re daggers it may be beneficial and holy shit!! Yeah, they chew through enemies like a pair of chainsaws! They’re awesome and so fast! You took the words out of my head when you said they’re one of the most fun weapons in the game. I’m often surrounded by and engaged in close quarters combat with 5 to 8 Mercs and other enemy and often literally start laughing at my predicament because of the sheer absurdity of it. Now, with this build, I laugh for an entirely different and much better reason: total domination! For example, I have screen shots of (no shit) 21 to 28 mercenaries in the same location I’m in, at the same time. It’s completely nuts!! And happens routinely. A friend of mine said: “Only you can piss off even enemy AI that much!” and we both LOL I also LOL when I find myself being pursued by an freakin army since it’s so crazy I find it hysterically fun. Like, 'How many F'n guys do they have!!??' And they keep spawning as fast as I kill em! >:)

My go to weapon is the Minotaur's Labrys. It looks cool. Deals a load of damage and with the fire engravings it melts enemies.

I’m currently using the arachne daggers with high poison damage and warrior damage so I can apply the poison fast and get the armor mitigation fast and I usually melt through most of my enemies with that.

Early? Daggers is an assassin type, Plus it’s good if you can master it especially when you focus on enemy moves.

The best daggers that I would personally choose are the Atlantean daggers because they has 35% crit damage and paired up with the Korfu engraving of 100%+ damage -All resistances it will be a blast.

I just saw the Atlantean Blade option for the look of daggers and I thought it was the flickering daggers from AC Origins! I was so excited!

for me the poison dragger is the beast ... I use Hermes time slow ability n then slash the enemies while they are slow n I regain the adrenaline lost with each crit damage done in slow time. win win situation. plus the poison effect is a sweet icing on the cake

Nice, my warrior build used dagger. But I’m using the axe warrior build from your last video. Although Lower base damage than my dagger build, the fire axe build kill enemy off so fast including mec.

I love the stun locks you can get with daggers.

I also like the swords ⚔️ but nothing matches the daggers 🗡 for speed as you said. I also always use the +30% Armor Penetration and Weapon Damage becomes Fire 🔥 or Poison ☠️ perks. Thanks again!

Can you do best legendary swords next? Personally I like the Prometheus Sika since I Focus a lot on fire damage but also have a balanced build that uses the Achilles set. So I do very good damage with the right perks and secondary weapons

My fav assasins build is the pelgrim armor set for the shadow of nix 100% adrenaline cooldown, poison daggers, damage from behind engraving for the assassination damage and the poison arrow bow.

I'm really enjoying your videos. I find they stand out from all the other guys doing it. You explain everything well without wasting time. I'm on a poision build using stingers. Because of the engraving does my poision ability add to it? Or should I remove the poison ability Because weapon damage is poision??

For my build, Atlantean blade, adding +30% Armor Penetration and engraving weapons becomes fire damage all the way to lvl 99

Love your builds! They inspired me to play this game (& continue to do so) - thanks for sharing! Quick questions - The Greek hello (15% all dmg, -15%hp) - Blade of the Ephemeral (25% assassin dmg, -15% melee resistance) - Nemean claws (30% dmg @ full hp) Do you think they stack? I've heared many say they don't but the 30% dmg is added to unique modifiers, and the -15% hp & -15% melee resistance are very much active. So far I engraved the Greek hello with the 30% dmg @ full hp + I carry the Ephemeral blade as well. Together with the Athena set (20% crit chance with assassin abilities) critical assassination does quite a bit more dmg (I'm level 34 atm) like 80/90% hp on mercenaries at night. But somehow I expected a bit more tbh, basic attacks still do very low dmg, even with 73% poison dmg on hard mode (fanged bow + couple poison engravings & talents) At least the ship lieutenants do a ton of damage and they killed the Weaver yesterday. Your builds in any case are much better! In your experience, in a late game build, I should loose the Blade of the Ephemeral for the Arachne Stingers + 30% armor penetration engraving? + gather all epic gear with crit chance, crit damage (@ full hp) to increase the damage of those basic attacks? I'm not even half way done and already feel like doing a second playthrough (when new game+ launches) Thanks again & take care!

I'm playing odyssey and I'm at level 14 , after completing game I'm going to hunt all legendary weapons.

I’m only lvl 49 but I’ve been using and upgrading the daggers with the poison effect and I love them.

I just started to understand how gear system works thanks to your videos, but now I cant even make a new build because I either sold or dismantled all my gear and only stowed my legendary gear. I'm in the endgame level 66 of ac odyssey, trying to find new epic gear but only bows drop. Where and how can I find more gear? If tried conquests, running the walls, even left over story missions even fortresses but no good gear drops from please help me out.

So you already posted a build for an hybrid assassin/warrior build which was more focused on assassin. Can you show one the other way around so that warrior is focused? It's like I still want to assassinate trash mobs but also spinning around with fire daggers :D that'd be amazing! And BTW what armor you are wearing right at the beginning (the blueish one)? It looks quite cool!

Nobody will change my mind, staffs are better, the more enemy's I damage the better. But I don't like how with any weapon you can accidentally hit innocent peeps, causing them to attack u, and then die as I'm forced to then brain them.

Im using that Arachne's Stingers Legendary Dagger just cause the daggers are fast and the poison damage, plus I engraved on mine warrior damage, so I got Assassin, Warrior and Poison damage all on one weapon

You dont need armor penetration when you can use hero strike to ignore the shields of an enemy ;). Dagger is the best weapon type in my opinion if used right.

I got Arachne's stingers adding fire. They're simply stunning.

Put weapon dmg becomes poison dmg on Dionysus tears put 30% armor penetration on vine bow..put 30% dmg while full health...wear Dionysus armor stats and add dmg dealt returns as health...the other engravings add Crit chance and Crit chance while full health. Then Crit chance amd Crit dmg mastery skills along with increase Crit chance and Crit dmg...increase chance to deal assassin dmg on melee hit...plus crit chance and dmg while full health....if u get what im sayin hear with only 9 pts on warrior tree...6 to 12 pts in assassins tree...this build if done right is my fav build on Nightmare mode...my sticking with it and just continuing to make it better!

I prefer the Greek Hello and the Talon Dagger for Assassin daggers. Greek Hello for Crit Damage and 15 assassin damage and the Talon Dagger for the All Damage and 10% Crit Chance at the cost of 50 Crit Damage. I know Talon Dagger is controversial but my Assassin build can one shot anything in the game(barring legendary animals) even with the loss. I do get you with the Arachnes Stingers but once you get used to reprocing the poison damage it’s worth it to have the extra engraving slot. Another unfortunate dagger side effect of daggers is that I find their reach sucks when fighting against stronger, more agile enemies like Athenian Marksmen or Mercenaries that can regularly dodge attacks, which is incredibly annoying. I usually only put a dagger on a build as a stat-improving secondary weapon only for that reason.

I’m all about poison. So I’ve equipped all poison damage and abilities revolves around it along with dagger damage and any other things that’s poison. And it shreds. Killed three mercenaries in about 1:30

I wish the poison in AC Odyssey was just like in Origin. I miss abilities where you can spread poisons from one enemy to another . Idk why they get rid of that. And I am little disappointed that we can't throw javelins. Well Vahalla got throwing AXE. Then again the game is fun to play. Hype for Valhalla. Maybe in future we finally see China warring states assasins creed? ( yes i know there is China Assasins creed but i wouldn't call that assasins creed. It disgrace.)

i like the tip about the extra armor penetration on daggers! i found an epic dagger that has both damage with daggers AND damage with daggers & swords perks on it along with warrior damage. it is insane for a dagger build as a secondary weapon! my main weapon is a legendary dagger with weapon damage becomes poison damage. it is like cutting through butter with a knife. especially when you add crit chance and crit damage to it.

Hi Nice video! I cannot find an answer to this but i hope you can help. Do i need to engrave armor pen to that specific weapon to use the boost or can i engrave it on say, my bow, will that be applicable to my bow only or my daggers as well?

I like the spear better because it has more armor penetration and they are still pretty fast

My goodness I love daggers. Your video was very useful. But almost all of the legendary daggers are looted by killing cults and mercenaries. Why I love using them? The usual. It makes enemies sprout more blood. And if you shoot three to four explosive arrows at enemies and use a fire dagger to hit him countinually you can kill them without them attacking you. My darkest secret: I am underage and I play this game!

My weapon of choice is the axe slow but strong
