THE BEST MASHED POTATOES HANDS DOWN|| WITH SECRET INGREDIENT|| YOU WILL BE KNOW AS THE MASHED POTATO QUEEN/KING
INGREDIENTS
6 to 7 red skin potatoes (more or less depending on size)
7 cups of water
1 tablespoons of salt
3 garlic cloves
2 tablespoons of parsley
5 tablespoons of salted butter
1 cup of heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup of Philadelphia chives and onion cream cheese
1/2 teaspoons of salt
1/4 cup of mozzarella cheese
Parsley (minced)
INSTRUCTIONS
Here’s what you need to do to make the best mashed potatoes!
Step 1 - Wash and peel the potatoes.
Once washed, cut them into 1 to 2 inch pieces.
Step 2 - Boil the potatoes.
Place the potatoes in a large pot and fill it with 7 cups of water or just enough water to cover the potatoes. Once the water is in, add 1 tablespoons of salt to the water.
Finally, cover the pot and heat over high heat 8/9. Bring the water to a boil and then let them cook for 15 to 20 minutes or until they easily break apart with a fork. Drain the potatoes and then place them back in the pot.
Step 3- Garlic butter sauce.
Add a skillet on the stove at low heat 4/5 add 5 tablespoons of salted butter and 3 minced garlic cloves. Let the butter melt and cook the garlic for 1 to 2 minute then turn off heat.
Step 4- Mix the potatoes.
Use a potato masher, hand mixer, or stand mixer to begin mashing the potatoes. Slowly Add the butter garlic sauce, 1 cup of heavy whipping cream, Philadelphia chives and onions cream cheese, 1/2 teaspoons of salt, 1/4 cup of cream cheese and then parsley as seen in the video.
