The crazy part of this is this is just highlights. He would perform the kick return function for 80 mins. And also the kick chaser role. He would run into a wall of meat over and over all game. basically a try is a touchdown, the only difference is the ball has to touch the ground. So in those videos where you saw greg rolling people over onto their backs, he was preventing them from scoring. Also yes, you can kick the ball (punt). Basically each team has 5 tackles to get up the field as much as possible, and normally on the 5th tackle, if they aren't in scoring range, they'll kick the ball for territory, If they are in the opponent's half, generally a kick becomes more of an attacking kick

Yes you can punt and run. They call it a kick chase. Normally on the 5th tackle they kick the ball. As long as your standing behind your teammate who kicks/punts the ball you can challenge for the ball.
