That pattern is pretty awesome. A suggestion on hiding the thread ends for those webbing straps. Instead of pulling the thread to the backside, go to the middle of the seam between the two sides and pull both thread ends to the middle and knot them there. They will be invisible from either side.

@courtneyx9845 I took your advice yesterday, and turned one of my Travelnizers into our kitchen first aid kit! Everything fit in there perfectly with room to spare! This morning, hubby came running in with a mean scratch, so I grabbed the new first aid kit out of the pantry. I unzipped it, then held it in the air by the 2 handles and hook. I yelled “TA DAAA” as I released the handles (I still held the hook). The Travelnizer flipped open with a flourish and hubby burst out laughing at the whole effect. 🤣😂🤣 He said it was almost worth getting an injury to watch the whole unfolding magic. 🪄 Thanks for the first aid kit idea. So much better than the clear plastic shoe box we had been using.

I’m proud to say I completed mine with an upside down lining that I was just too tired to unpick and do again… despite the incredible tutorial…yours truly managed to make a couple of boo-boos….Jess, I am a visual person, without your tutorial, I could NOT have made this….thankyou and Merci from Montreal 🇨🇦👍👍❤️

I would love to see a lunchbox tutorial, something an adult would take to work, big enough to fit a rectangular glass food container and a can of soda, a compartment for utensils maybe a mesh zipper pocket for an ice pack. This pattern could probably be hacked for that purpose but at the same time it’s nice to have patterns made specifically for a certain purpose. I might make this bag for myself and hang it on a command hook in my bathroom for everyday use and free up some countertop space.

Jessica How about quilting the outside of the project? Could you tell me where you got the bonded nylon? I absolutely love how your instructions, as you go, and show how the project is oriented?? That is quite helpful to confirm we are making all the right connections. If you have Lux nylon that is not bonded can you apply Sew fuse and that would work? I really like watching you as you guide us through. 😘👍

i'm binging all your tutorials trying to decide what bag i want to make, i've been sewing clothes for years but only made a few basic pouches. your videos are amazing, but if i had one recommendation, on the thumbnails, its sometimes hard to see the actual project, i think because of your background and you use many bright and contrasting fabrics. nothing wrong with that of course but just together the thumbnails are kinda busy. thanks for so many great tutorials though, i'm having lots of trouble deciding.

How well does it hold items? For example, when all inside spaces have toiletries and or sewing supplies AND is folded to close up - is it too bulky? The handles - are they strong enough to hold the weight of contents???
@AnneMarieMitchell-om3gr
@AnneMarieMitchell-om3gr 4 ай бұрын
Depending on what you put in it, it can hold quite a bit. My husband and I had ours packed pretty full of toiletries and ours closed easily. On another trip, I used it for my cosmetics, jewelry and hair items, even a travel steamer and small lint remover. The bag still had room. I used an S shaped shower hook (instead of a swivel hook), made sure the loop was sewn with a boxed x cross. It has held up very well even with the toiletries. Then I made another to hold our dog’s leashes, collars, food, treats, small towels, wipes, brush, spritz bottle and toys for when we go to weekend competitions. The Travelnizer easily holds everything. (I could sell dozens of these to fellow dog owners, but I totally don’t have time for that!) But like I said earlier, it just depends on what all you put in it. I hope you give it a go!
