Håfa Adai! I traveled from the Philippines to the Island of Guam. My first destination was Two Lovers Point also known as Puntan Dos Amåntes, which is Guam's most famous visitor attraction. People come from all over the world to learn about the great Chamorro legend of forbidden love, entwined souls, and their tragic end. Visit this destination and you'll gaze at the thousands of padlocks visitors have placed declaring their undying love.

I missed Guam. some of my friends and people I had worked with. I lived in Guam from 1985 until I think yr 2000. Before the pandemic I make sure that me and my wife visits the island at least once a year. Once travel restriction eases I am planning to visit the island once more. I used to live in Liguan Terrace, Dededo and had worked at various establishments likeGuam Post Office and J&G Payless supermarkets. My wife used to worked at FHP Medical Clinic where she retired at early.Thatis why we have fond memories of the island. I consider Guam my home away form home.Thanksfor the video.

It's my pleasure Donald :) I was in the Navy and stationed in Pearl but never made it to Guam. It was awesome to drive around and learn about the island and where things are.

I was born and raised in Guam in 1964 left Guam after typhoon Pamela moved to Hawaii with my family but I still have a lot of friends and relatives back there in Guam.

The Chamorro people are very hospitable and friendly. I was surprised to find that there are also a LOT of Filipinos on Guam as well.

If you go there you'll enjoy it. But it's expensive to travel and stay there.

Two Lover’s Point in Spanish Chamorro is Puntan Dos Amantes. It’s the story of two Chamorro lovers who couldn’t marry because the girl was to marry a Spaniard. It’s a story of the pitfalls of colonialism on Guahan, which is the original name of the island in Chamorro. In other words it’s the pre colonial name of the island. Guam was the 1st Pacific Island to be colonized by the Europeans.

It was a 10-day stay so I saw the whole island and drove from North to South. Loved it all except for the rain that would come without warning. It is the rainy season though.

That tree at the end is the Barringtonia Asiatica (common names include: Fish Poison Tree, Putat, or Sea Poison Tree)

If you look at the sand area from the view you can see an outline of one of the lovers face. A really beautiful site

Years ago, a cave was found near the base of the cliff. Inside were two rock formations side by side which looked like two persons buried next to eachother or what some claim to be fossilized burial site of the lovers.

That's so interesting Caroline! There has to be some truth to this legend and there could be evidence of that like you said.
