Why growing up you realize Rodrick is so relatable and better than Greg: 1) he just pranks Greg. Greg hates him for this because Greg hates being the victim. (Boohoo what a baby) But that mf does not mind abusing ppl. 2) Rodrick aint simping but he still gets more bitches 3) Rodrick has an actual healthy hobby and actual future plans Kinda sucks to see that Rodrick had a massive glowdown in Chapter 17 and was depictes as a selfish asshole who only cared more about winning than about his friends.

Yes and growing up you realize that Rowley is the most innocent character of the whole series. Bro got abused by his best 'friend' for years and still sees him as a friend. That guy deserves every good moment that happened to him.

@@youraveragerobloxkid yes compared to Manny, he isn't as manipulative but he still leeched on Rowley and was willing to ditch him when he no longer needed him. Same with his mother who also took advantage of her kids to look like a good role model and to make everyone think she has a healthy family. The father isn't as bad but he just gave up on his family because he realized that his relationship is screwed.

When I was younger, my impression of Rowley was that he was the lowest of the totem pole. But that was far from true. Rowley was living his last years of his innocent childhood. Why not enjoy it? You only get to be a kid once. He wasn't self aware. He was probably the only kid who was being himself and in the end, he got rewarded. And in the process grew less naive when he learned what a pos Greg was to him.

You’re always used to having the main character be a nice character that has some flaws but learns from them and develops themself. I will admit that I’ve mainly grown up on the movies and haven’t read all the books. I only remember the first one, Old School, and Cabin Fever. I’m planning on getting them someday but I think that Greg has at least more development in the movies than his book counterpart. (Not counting the fourth one) I also believe that the characters in the movies developed more than the books as Susan is less of a Karen and more understanding and caring and Frank is more caring then the one in the whole who seems more isolated. Except for Rodrick and Manny, with Rodrick still being the badass normal big brother and Manny being the spawn of satan.

Greg is NOT a sociopath. He has some real character development throughout the series. AAPS entertainment has a really good video on this so I recommend watching that. Greg might not be the best person, but he is not that bad. He is a simp and a really bad friend, but that’s all.
