One central plot the could focus on is an eventual invasion of earth that they steer towards, and honestly I wish they would retcon the GI Joe storyline, because I know it’s gonna be like a team up movie instead of just a transformers movie

Due to the failure of rise of the beast paramount and hasbro should make a cinematic universe built into the world of transformers one and continue making animated movies. This will help cut cost and allow for more screen time for the transformers as in live action the humans would be the focus due to the transformers being plugged into the world around the humans. The animation medium can also allow the franchise explore more the universe instead of oh shit the earth is going to be destroyed again and then oh never mind Optimus took care of it. In all honestly this movie was probably meant to be a failure which could be why the marketing was so bad and other terrible parts of the movie like editing, plot, voice direction, and cinematography.

To be fair ghidorah also dies in various works for there to be new threats afterwards like space godzilla and more so they still have options.

i feel like the fact that Knightverse is more "g1 styled" people excuse it from a lot of its problems most of which carry over from the Bayverse but others are entirely new. like, this is a hard pill to swallow for the fandom but the bayformers trilogy is actually wayyyy more G1 accurate than the knightverse which is insane and is a perfect example on how much the cybertron scene fucked up everyones perception of the knightverse. for bay fans bbm is considered G1 nostalgia bait which is not true at all and for g1 fans it's a "g1 movie" which it also isn't true at all and for most people they have the illusion that rotb respects the source material more which is ALSO not true at all. and rotb also kinda doomed the knightverse but thats a whole other can of worms...
