The thing about kay/o is that is doesn´t create a situation where gunplay matters because your team is still using utility to execute sites only difference is the enemies can´t do shit about it

I disagree soooo heavily with the points sideshow and balla were making about needing third party international tournaments. There are 4 international VCT events already including champions, meaning that there is an international tournament every 2-3 months. If you have these tournaments more often then all the hype for most of the regions will disappear. With 2-3 months before masters 3, the brazil, korea, turkey, SEA, etc... storylines can regenerate, you can see changes in the regional metas, and the hype can start to grow again. If international tournaments happen more often there will be no time for those storylines and the hype to come back which will not be healthy for the scene at all. The rarity of big international competitions is why tournaments like the olympics or world cup, or even champions league to a certain extent makes the tournaments more important and more exciting. If the world cup took place every year, it would become less important and exciting, not more, even thiugh im sure right at the start people would be excited for the change, in the long term it would become just another tournament.

I feel like sideshow's comments on the economy changes are spot on - instead of lowering ability usage, teams are primarily just simply throwing away eco rounds more since it feels bad to use utility when you don't have full buys to support it, and it's harder to come back in general.

The 6 Map system is honestly worst than random TBH. The amount of gamesmanship that will go into those ratings if teams are smart will all but ruin the system. For example if a team permabans bind it is in their best interest to put that higher on their list to ensure maps that actually may be map 5 and 6 are greater effected. For example if team A is going to permaban bind, first pick haven every time unless haven is banned, and wants to play split as the decider they are going to rank split number 1. They are then gonna rank bind and haven 2 and 3 so their other choices have more negative power and then rank ice box, ascent, and breeze to make sure they aren't number one on the list. Then if split is number one of the list they have basically gotten a free pick unless banned. And if a map that may be heavily permabanned, such as breeze since it is new, gets voted highly by a lot of teams for this reason this may cause it near the top of the list causing the gamesmanship of some teams to effect the pick bans of all teams. This system is truly terrible and would be better off just random picking the third map rather than giving certain teams an arbitrary advantage the whole tournament because of a list they made at the beginning.
