The Bird's Opening is No Joke!
The Bird's Opening is a flank opening and viable option for anyone looking to improve their opening repertoire for white. It is a reverse Dutch Defense, and looks to escape the exhausting opening theory many chess openings require. Most chess grandmasters do not utilize the Bird's Opening, but it offers white an at least equal position, and is good for the positional player. In terms of chess strategy, white will slowly develop the pieces, and there's two different variations, or ways, of doing this. One results with white expanding in the center of the board. While the other involves white attacking the opponent's king in a somewhat Grand Prix Attack fashion. Both are covered in our previous Bird's opening video, giving you the option on which chess strategy you like best. We enjoyed going over the Bird's Opening, and hope it will be helpful for all chess players watching!
