New generation of teachers. They just fired a high school teacher here for doing almost the same thing but to me hers is worse. She was a teacher by day but a all fans model by night. Her kids found out and told the school. They fired her.i think it's these younger teachers that feel like it's okay to live a double life..if they're not hurting anyone. You have a duty to promote excellence whether on or off duty. Hence: thou cannot serve two masters type of concept. They're in opposition to one another. *Military bearing is the demonstration of confidence, discipline, and attitude in everyday life while on or off duty. Soldiers should never lose their military bearing just because they are off duty.

I know this school. I worked for another school in the charter school system. Believe me, the admins would be right along rapping with the kids if they werent afraid of the repercussions. All they care about are the funds they receive per student. Keeping up appearances and pushing ill-prepared students to the next grade or graduation.

I’m gonna home school my children when I have them. Between these “teachers” and the other kids coming from different types of households and upbringing, I wouldn’t want to send my child around these folks. Extracurricular activities is it, and I pray to be there for every practice and game. But I refuse to leave my child in the care and presence of these people!

Bad association spoil good habits. Once the kids see what she does they gonna want to do it too and will say if the TEACHER does it then I can too . Very bad example. That’s why they made chatter schools to have control . Be a better example or get out.

You have to be mindful of what you do outside of the school. I truly get it, because a student can come across your content online, and to some context, think it is ok for his or her own teacher to act inappropriate with the inappropriate content out there. Children look up to who they think is hip and cool, when in actuality, leave impressionable inappropriateness thinking it is ok.

I am a high school music teacher and I agree with your analysis. I always remember and quote Tupac's line from Changes: "you did it in a sleazy way, sellin' crack to the kids. Well hey, I gotta get paid. Well that's the way it is." However I must say that's one of my frustrations as a music educator: how to get paid for my work but also my talent and express myself authentically as an artist who sees flaws in the education system that can and should be addressed more expeditiously. It will all too easily be interpreted as biting the hand that feeds me. Also, although I won't be selling musical crack to kids ever, who is fueling the sales of this music exactly and why is there no groundswell or campaign by parents to complain about them? Bc artists tend to make what will likely make them money, after all. Seems to me parents are quick to complain about symptoms but not root causes. Ironically they are the ones who have the least to lose in such root cause protests against ineffectual education systems, but they complain the least.

As a parent, it is MY job to monitor what my kids watch on the internet. If this teacher was rapping in the classroom or telling my kids about her channel I would expect them to fire her. I could careless what her 2nd or 3rd jobs are as long as she does not promote her message to my kids during school hours. Parents need to better control the cell phones and computer usage that they pay for. Kids will watch porn and hard rap if not supervised.

I’m an independent artist I worked for the courthouse as a criminal court clerk for 8 years the entire time I was there I was working on my rap career..EVERYONE knew I rapped the judges and all no one had a problem until I released a visual where someone got shot it was fake computer generated but they gave me ultimatum to take it down I QUIT A FEW WEEKS LATER AND MOVED ON. I’m still doing music but I realized u can’t do both!!!

A lot of people sign paperwork at orientation w/o really understanding what it means. There are social media clauses & ethic clauses which encompasses & police what YOU do on your personal time. So yes, rapping, cursing ect. on social media can be seen as unethical & as a negative reflection of the organization.
