The Brady's have the cleanest garbage, all clean dry crumpled paper. No dripping pickle juice, soggy paper plates or moldy bread. ...and will you look at that....Three brand new garbage cans! No dents, no dirt, no scuffs. If my garbage man saw those he'd salivate as he slammed it against the rear of the truck while the compactor took a big wet bite out of it!

When I was growing up they usually skipped this scene on TV and went right to the scene where the boys were checking Mike's jacket pockets in the hall closet.

In the original draft they scriptwriters had him idolizing a skyjacker, but that was too realistic.
