Beautiful knives! A great walk down Buck history lane. And I believe that your new secondary KZfaq channel name should be... Professor Buck.

Thanks for sharing about these 2 classic Buck's. The 117 kinda looks like a smaller 2/3rd version of the 119. I think it would be good for someone with smaller hands or a youngster who's not quite ready to handle a 6" blade just yet. 👍Take good care my friend and Cheers!

What a delightful topic for a Tuesday Tom I’m home from the hospital and everything went great with the first surgery Thanks for your prayers and support I love my Buck Knives and was floored by my 117 when I got it It’s a peach in every sense of the word and the one of the Buck Phenolic Hunter Family that I would consider carrying as a personal defense edc It’s small enough to be unobtrusive yet stout enough to hold it own and get the job done if needed And as Kirby Creek well proved it can do everything needed for most camping and light bushcraft work I say it was on of the best $74 knife purchases I’ve made Thanks for your reviews and your friendship You bring out the best in the community and in others You are a delight

Nice video, and thank you. I handled the Buck117, and it is redundant for me. The Buck 102 Woodsman and the Buck 119 Special are the only two fixed-blade knives a person needs for everything.

I was most interested to hear your comments on the Brahma Buck knives. I purchased a stacked leather washer handled Buck 119 new in about 1991. It came with a burgundy dyed leather sheath with stitching running up and down both the left and right sides of the sheath. There's no apparent nut at the top of the crow's beak pommel. I have no recollection of the knife being called the 'Brahma' but I do vaguely recall it being something of a special run. I also can't exactly recall if I ordered it online from Cabela's or if I bought it off the shelf from a sporting goods store in Gunnison, Colorado back in the day. Either way, it seems to be something of a rare 'bird' these days and I'm proud to own it.
@knifedelights74735 ай бұрын
I was confused about the Brahma's also. To the best of my knowledge, Buck made a special "combat knife" version of both the 117 and the 119. The 117 was referred to as the "Little Brahma" and the 119 was the "Brahma." I keep looking for both of these knives. I think you have a very special knife there, my friend. Thanks for watching!

Fun fact to confuse you more; The Brahma is a chicken breed, which are the largest chicken breed in the world. So calling the 117 the Brahma instead of the 119 is even more confusing in my head. Thought i shared that fact with you. Two wonderfull Buck knives to share, thank you Tom.
