My roommate was from Ghana and he made food in a way that was so nice, it took time, and love - and I have honestly never had anything better. And ive been around, hahah. Ive tries to remake the recipes after watching him numerous times but ive never been able to capture it. My favorite dish of his was joloff rice -and I add an extra scotch bonnet. Ive always been obsessed with rice and that blew me away. Love the heat and richness from the tomatoes.

Living in the US i can tell you that goat & lamb meat isn’t commonly eaten here,in fact people look at me weirdly when you talk about eating them. To using plantains as a side,i have not come across any restaurant that has the selection that they have at mama rocks,i have been there.
