Hello George, I reside in Bergen County, New Jersey which is 5 miles Northwest of Midtown, NYC. Thank you for making these self haircut tutorials, you certainly are a master of your craft and I'm certain you have inspired individuals worldwide that they can cut your own hair. Prior to New Jersey and New York's quarantine closure I was unable to visit my stylist for my monthly haircut, which is short sides and back and longer on top. After watching a few of your tutorials, I visited Targets website and purchased a Wahl Trimmer and I'll Buzzcut my Silver-Hair tomorrow. Thanks again for your support and inspiration. God Bless.

Did it! It took me over an hour because (1) my hair was already a mop and (2) my clippers are crappy beard trimmers. Still, I'm pretty happy with the result and I feel human again! Thanks for the guidance George!

Great vid, I've been doing this cut ever since watching this back in May '20. One additional thing that I do is for the neckline. I put my hand across the back for protection and then use the clippers without any attachments from my hand down my neck to clean things up.

Going to try this on hubby tomorrow as my hands are very arthritic and I don’t think I can do the scissoring required for other looks and he’s quite good looking so he doesn’t mind short either thank goodness Many thanks were locked down since mid March until June here in Cali so this is a first never cut hair before Stay healthy

Thanks for the vid mate. Buzz cut my own hair about 3 hours ago after watching this. Legit looks great, I’m well chuffed.

When I’ve had a buzz cut last spring/summer, I’d ask my barber to give me a #5 on top and fade down to a #1 on the bottom (sideburns and neckline). Was a very clean look. I’m considering bringing it back this year!

If I have longer parts of my hair, should I cut anything off with scissors before going in with the clippers, or is it fine to just go right at it without cutting first? Current haircut is a pixie cut (that’s 2 months overdue for a trim so. very long for me lol). Longest part is my bangs that are a good few inches, they actually cover one eye right now, so that’s the part I’m most wondering about.

I have a buzz cut and sometimes do it myself when I can’t get to the barbers and I use a 2 or a 1 all over depending on my mood and I would recommend that you get somebody else to do your crown at the back of your head as it is hard to stay against the grain and you miss parts. Also I would say on adults it doesn’t look great but being a young man or teenager it looks great but not everyone suits it. Also on the back of your neck you need somebody to get a 0 and do the line up and do not do a line across the back and only cut it like this \ / also don’t try to fade it on yourself as blending a 2-3-4 is easy but going from a 1-2 is really hard without half guards or combs.
