Has to be one of the dumbest names for a movie/horror movie, I've ever heard. Throughout the movie, I kept saying "da bye bye man, da bye bye man" in a derpy voice, because I couldn't even take it seriously. Even if I was in the actual predicament, somehow, I'd probably still find myself walking around going "da bye bye man....da bye bye maaan!".

2019's Bye Bye Man coming next month! Can't wait for the rant.

One major glaring plot hole nobody else seems to have touched upon is - how did The Bye Bye Man kill his first victim? The entire point of The Bye Bye Man is that people spread his name which creates more and more victims, but it had to start somewhere. The fact that he needs a victim in the first place to write his name down and create more victims kind of makes his existence impossible. The amount of ineptitude in the writing of this movie is astonishing.

Just found out Carrie Ann Moss is in this movie...what a shame

I did enjoy this movie. Yet I do not break down movies so intently. I noticed the bad cgi and awful acting but the movie idea was good enough to keep my attention. Execution was pitafull but the premise was good

I feel like if they were actually faithful to the source material of the short story for the bye bye man, then it would have been far more interesting, if they had actually fleshed out the bye bye man more within the movie, actually delving more into him and Gloomsinger (the dog, that is briefly shown but not actually explained in the movie) then it could have been a really interesting horror film at least, instead we got this garbage 😂
