As I have said time and again, they don't go after the boosting companies because I believe that WG runs the boosting companies as a income supplement. And the only players banned by using them are players that hired non-affiliated companies.

11:45 ... as an SPG player, I look for the 279e through my birds-eye view mode. When I see the enemy team has one or more of those tanks (usually only one), that's the tank I want to keep stunned or destroy first. While watching from above I can tell who got it legitimately and who are the muppets who used boosting companies to get it. If it's a player really working the tank to its best ability, I know they are a true threat to my team and focus-fire on them. If I determine they are the buffoon who got it through shady means, I can tell by their playstyle and move on to a different tank to harass. Non-SPG players might not truly understand how I can figure this out, but please trust me when it is clearly obvious. With the long reload time, if they are muppets, I just let my team take them out and I use my shells on more "dangerous" players. The playstyle of one who got it legitimately vs one who cheated to get it are HUGE and clearly obvious, especially when watching from above. ... being an arty player gives you a whole different perspective on who is good and who is not, and we act accordingly. When you are "just" a tank player, you see very little of the map as you play. When in map overview mode, arty has a much more detailed view of the entire map and when we see how the 279e is being driven and where it goes, we can tell if it's a muppet or not. Communication with the team is key, letting them know if you feel the 279e is good or a muppet and let the team deal with him face-to-face or if they need it to be hit with a "hello, I see you" shell from above.

Either WG is directly involved with some of the boosting companies, or some of their VIP's are involved with the boosting companies, or the boosting companies pay kick backs to WG!

The boosting companies are WG insiders, so basically they're a subsidiary of Wargaming. I can't prove that but it makes sense to me.

I think the boosting companies are operated by WG.

I think someone at WG was in on the cheating. How would these boosting companies gain access to all these dormant accounts without some help.

The simplest conclusion is always the obvious one in these cases and it's pretty simple, WG is (in some way) affiliated with those boosting companies. They're making (more) money out of their milking cow, which is us, players.

A reason Wargaming won't go after the boosting companies is because some of the "good" CCs work for them - that's how these CCs make their money without wargaming having to pay them. Wargaming need these "good" CCs to put out videos that market the game for them - it would be akin to killing the golden goose

It took me YEARS to get my Object 279(e) and my Object 260. Wasn't easy, I tell ya, so I know how the average player feels!

I can confirm that story as players within the Clan I used to be in were playing together to get the missions done to get this tank

Wargaming running the boosting companies doesn't make much sense; they could make more money just selling the reward tanks in the shop. But an insider leaking dormant account credentials would explain where the boosting companies are getting some of their 0 WN8 XP piñatas, and would be embarrassing enough for the company you can see why they'd want to keep it quiet (even if that's probably worse for the game in the long run than admitting what's going on and promising to fix it)

What I have noticed mostly is player multiboxing. They load two accounts in a virtual enviroment like Sandboxie and launch at the same time. That way one is on one team, and the other on the other team. They know where you are on the map because they have an account on your team. Arty does this alot. This is why you see so many AFK players as well.

I would only ever come back to this game when the cheating is dealt with - the game is unfair enough as it is, you don't need that sh*t in the mix aswell. I haven't played since Dec 2021 or so currently

I was there for the T-22sr missions, and got booted from my clan for refusing to take part in the cheating. That was sort of when I stopped playing too, sadly. A fun game spoiled by cheating all round.

I wanted this so bad back in the day. I was only a mission away…cant remember which one. The last day I encountered two clans working together and quickly realized I was the odd man out. There was enemy chat back then…I pleaded to let me participate to no avail…hence I was tk’d over and over. Never forgot it.

Yea, I remember just getting up to tier 8 and being battered left, right and centre by the flood of T22's... not fun - I stopped playing for ages...

The reason is they a complicit with the booster companies. Or they would have to remove all reward tanks from the game

Most of the people that have T-22 now, got it on two occasions when it was auctioned for credits. Many of those original cheaters were actually banned (at least temporarily) and the tanks were removed from their accounts.

Hi Claus, I remember the missions coming out for the T22, but I didn't much like the mode and the missions seemed difficult to achieve, so I just concentrated on the Obj 260 set, which even an average player could get through back in the day if they kept all their orders until the end and worked hard to get through the missions. I think one TD15 mission for big damage took me around 900 battles in Tier X TDs.

WG, in their wisdom, introduce a reward tank that only good players/cheats are likely to get, so the good players/cheats become even better players/cheats. Then they wonder why so many players stops playing the game. Go figure!

I remember that game mode, it is very easy to play and win as a solo players, but I did not get the reward tank. I also don't recalled cheaters in the game mode.

If I remember right, they used an un-nerfed version of the cheater reward tank in some live tournament months after it had been nerfed on the NA server. It won if I remember right. The camo on the one you showed looked a lot like the camo they used in that tournament.

A few years back, in WOT blitz, Wargaming gave away an M60 to those players deemed to have spent a sufficient amount of money within the game. They never said how many or how much you’d have to have spent. I never spent another penny on the game

I remember that T22 when it came out, the days of reverse angle over the shoulder scrape, hard as hell to pen cheese! And then the Nerf Bat came and NO ONE played it LMAO.

I remember when the T22 came out I was What the Hell, this one is so broke.

Those boost companies keep players in the game that otherwise would have given up with it, of course WG does not do anything about them. Also, by playing the game for their customers, the boost companies burn ingame money and consumables, win/win for WG.

The way Klaus explained the process of getting through those tough missions for T22, players logging in late at night into 6 platoons of same clan players and talking through teamspeak or even game chat (as back then you could write to the opponents too), having games without even a single player playing solo out of the riggers, while WG having an event of crazy stupid requirements while also allowing 6 platoons of same clan players to fill up a game (I could code two lines that prevent this and I'm not working in IT...), doesn't feel as cheating in any way.... Truly, noone stated this shouldn't be done, no harm to any other player in that game, just to stupid WG which is the main culprit anyway... Imagine being the minority of players that ACTUALLY made those crazy requirements and THEN getting your T22 NERFED to shit?!? What about those players?

I strongly agree that boosting companies have the tacit or backdoor approval of WG. I think it is likely that WG employees are on the take. If this were not that case, WW would have resolved the issue long ago.

Didn't know about the story of the T-22. Thinking about it though, I don't see working together as a clan in that case as being cheating because WG failed to make a rule against it at that time. But I can see where those who were not in a clan were at a huge disadvantage.

I got banned for a week for playing in a game that was being rigged. I didn't know until I saw a bunch of the tanks lined up against the wall, and some more of them just sitting across the warehouse floor. The warehouse map would become an actual map eventually. Obviously being banned a week I didn't get a chance to cheat or compete for the tank.

Yup, been "propositioned" more than once on the NA server, in game, to help "improve" my stats. Are they in cahoots with WG? It would not surprise me.

Banning cheaters won't work. Just nerf the Obj. 279E armor, so it gets auto-penned when getting hit from the sides and rear... This will make sure that 'players' with ill-gotten Obj. 279E's get's the same player experience, the rest of us gets... Because when an average shmoo like me gets cornered by an Obj. 279E, I'm fucked and running low on gold ammo anyway...

All the cheating/RMT activity being present is one of the reasons why I mostly just play in the low tiers. I've avoided entire game series because they have a reputation of massive, flagrant cheating, e.g.: *_Call of Duty_* *_Counter-Strike_* *_Apex Legends_* It's a shame we can't do more against cheating in online games, especially when some of the publishers themselves are secretly encouraging cheating to help their income.

The difference is, there's money involved. You only get banned if you cheat for free.

Got mine in Trading caravan, bought it fair and square, gave 20 k bonds and didn't regret it at all. It's rare tank now so play mine every session I play. Awesome machine, if you know how to use it properly..

at around the time of the t22 was my first quit of the game. the mission and massive nr of cheaters that aquired it was the prime reason.

The biggest motivator for anyone these days seems to be money, ergo WG is benefitting financially from the boosting companies.

I don't remember the name of the clans, if I remember right there was 2, that were all banned in the NA server for cheating to get this tank. The ones that weren't caught cheating where not allowed to have the tank even if they did it legit, allegedly.

Why have a Tank Mode (with a desirable Reward Tank) that is basically impossible to do as an individual (so that players look at "options" to be able to complete the tasks. People still take this approach for Campaign Missions). Sounds like the "Bud Lite" marketing approach by WG.

I didn't playing world of Tanks when it first came out. I wish I did play it at the start up. But real life and family with tons of overtime Didn't give me a lot of time. But know days I have time and as a player who been playing for only a year and a half. I enjoy the low and med tiers tanks. I know some players cheat with booster companies. But I don't think they would waste their time to cheat in low and med tiers. Besides that's where the fun is in world of tanks.

Not a SINGLE T-22 Medium was earned 100% legit when it was the reward for completing the missions. Wasn't this also the first T10 tank? Remember there was cross team chat, so you didn't need to always cheat/rig to get missions done. You did, however, need the help of the enemy to do most of the later missions.

I played those missions. I used it for XP and money. But, what sucked is I ended up losing credits on several games. So, it was a waste of time

Wargaming's habit of nerfing tanks that people paid money for was one of the contributing factors toward my leaving the game. I honestly think I spent upwards of $2000 on this game. So if a game developer introduces a tank that you can only get by paying cash for it, and the players see that it is more powerful (in one respect or another) than the tanks you got "for free", so they spend their money on it, then the developer "nerfs" the tank in the name of equalizing the game for all players, would that be considered fraudulent activity? That's how I saw it. Couple that with the obvious Russian bias throughout the game and well, it wasn't a hard choice to leave.

i think the boosting companies and wg are in with each other, so those that use or used a boosting company wg just looks to a blind eye in the game, so wg will not do something about the boosting accounts in this game

Why doesn't Wargaming go after Boosting companies? Because the Boosting companies REQUIRE premium account in order to boost someone. This means Wargaming is getting paid by everyone of those boosted accounts.

They could stop boosting companies overnight just make in garage chat to other platpyers not on you friend list unavailable for at least 20 games byt better nake it over 100 and put a damage, kill. Distance requiremts to it as well.
