I apologize for not having the exact stats but the one great thing the Cubs have going for them lately is that they’re doing most of their damage with 2 outs. I for sure remember acknowledging that PCA is definitely going to Heaven with the many 2 out RBI’s he’s had but recently I think he’s started something bc now everyone is getting into the act. Fri game 1 vs Angels all 5 runs were scored with 2 outs. Seiya 2 run bomb in the first, Happ multiple 2 out RBI’s, and Nico finished the day with his 2 out RBI in the 6th. Now if you add Micheal Busch’s 2 run bomb (into the wind), that makes 7 out of the last 10 runs scored with 2 outs and I’m sure there’s more from the previous games. Not to long ago they couldn’t score with a man on 3rd with 0 outs and now they’re showing signs of a little clutch in them. Hopefully it keeps up. Not saying they’re going to win the WS, just providing a little hope for the few of us that’s remaining positive. FLY THAT W!!! (HeII Yeah SHOTA!!)

Justin Steele has been absolute 🔥. He is the first and probably only guy they need to talk to about an extension in the offseason

Shaw has been dealing with a concussion issue since he collided with an outfielder a while ago. That's why he hasn't been playing. Doesn't sound serious but they are just having him take it easy. Should see him soon.

I have never heard of any of the players in the Angels’ lineup. Without Ohtani or Trout, they are a Triple A team.

We must not forget, and John Lester was on the team as Steel was coming up. I am sure that that helped him tremendously because he got something from Lester. He has the same bulldog mentality.

All the stats u need is on the back of an old baseball card and what your eyes tell you. OPS is kind of telling but dont throw all that other stuff out there. I read yesterday Dansbys expected numbers are right in line with his norms. Please. If pitchers make their pitch to him and Morel, they are .150 hitters. Hate to knock Busch but he has to cut down on his Ks. PCA - love the guy. Brings so much energy. I would be interested in seeing our record with him starting in CF, last year included. Hopefully it can change. Now we get to go play the team i think is the best in baseball in a beautiful park. I think we took 2 of 3 last year.

Cubs still need to sell. Ideal scenario is to move: Hoerner/Morel/Bellinger/Taillon/Neris Promote: Caissie/Shaw/Ballestroes. Other 2 are for Kilian and Brown. Put Shaw at 3B and let him struggle this year. Move Busch to 2B full time Start Ballestroes at 1B Move Suzuki to full time DH. Start Caissie at RF Happ has value but I don't see Davis or Caniaro as options for Jed. LF most likely goes to Alancanta and there is no rush to move him up.

It is imperative that Cubs finish strong going into the all-star break.They gotta beat two good teams this week but in Baltimore the top 3 starters go in this series so it might get interesting

I don't know hitting at the statistical level, but it's frustrating to see weak hitters launch -angling pop ups with runners on base. Put it in play on the ground, maybe move the runner, short fly ball in that situation is as good as striking out. End of rant.

I'm really not a fan of modern analytics. I like knowing a pitcher's win/loss record, number of saves, and ERA. When a pitching change happens, they show percentages. That's just one example. I would like to see a John Madden team in MLB, just guys that can play and guys that win. Kyle Schwarber is that type of player. Many of the Phillies would be on that team. Steele would be on that team.

Cubs have been bad even when healthy, but they have also been snakebit with injuries all up and down the lineup, and in the minors - starting with Steele’s freak injury in the very first game. Certainly hasn’t helped.
