Praised be Enki! I have to learn Sumerian first and then read the Sumerian King List to verify the length of reign of each king. The Sumerians had a sexagesimal (base-60) numbering system, which means they used 59 digits to represent numbers (as opposed to the 10 digits we use today in decimal system). Unfortunately, Sumerians did not have a digit representing zero, and this means they did not know of the radix point. If we did not know of the digit, we would not know of the decimal point, and this would mean that we could not differentiate between the numbers 234, 23.4, 2.34, and even 0.234 or 2340. As for the Sumerian mathematics, if they had a number, say (59)(58), that is, a two-digit sexagesimal number formed by the last two digits of the Sumerian base-60 numerical system, they could calculate the same number as 59*60+58, or 59*3600+58*60, or 59*216000+58*3600, or … or even 59+58/60, or 59/60+58/3600, or … The conclusion is that the given numbers in this translated version of the Sumerian King List must be corrected by someone who has a basic knowledge of reading Sumerian cuneiform numerals. And then, and only then, this beautiful documentary is worth referring to. Cheers! ❤️

Eridu, first city established on earth.....Recently I have watched a video from Expedition Bible on KZfaq who is an archaeologist and followed the biblical account of the 4 rivers that converged at the Garden of Eden....Tigris, Euphrates, Gihon and most specifically Pishon which the authors proves through clues given in Genesis that this river flowed from the Red Sea across Saudi Arabia to the Persian Gulf below Eridu and the Ubaid cultures. For those of us who follow the biblical account it is clear this is the case which makes your statements from the King's list 100 percent true even though the translation of the dates do not match the archeological record. This also clears up the commandment of Moses to Joshua to conquest the land all the way to the Euphrates River. thanks for your good job!

Desert environments preserve history very well. If we follow this concept, I am sure there are innumerable discoveries to be made across the desert, and geologists can help with the reclamation of human civilized history. As I have said many times, "we've all done this before" and we shall do it again. Human society is as old as the next oldest find. With Gobekli Tepe, there should be more of a push to discover the archaeological history of human beings.

It seems that very few people realize that every time an "Expert" gives a date or age to something they NEVER ever continue the sentence with the word "Because". As in "The projected age of Eridu is about 6000 BC "Because".......etc. Nope the sentence ALWAYS stops at the date.

When i see numbers like 28.800 given as years, i tend to think that's a bit stark. The first calenders were based on moon cycles: moon calenders. The moon circles the earth 13.5 times per year. So for Alulim it would be 2.133 years our counting and for Alalgar 2.666 years. Which leads me to believe that they are not talking about acutual kings, but more about "houses" or dynasties because nobody lives that long, it's impossible. So for both a total of 4.800 years, which makes much more sense to me and would fit much more into the timeline given by archeology. It was only in the periode of the invention of writing that the first yearly calenders wich we use today appeared and the ages in the Sumerian Kinglist become more reasonable. Also one should take into account that the total world population at the time was something around 4 to 5 million people. Which is the size of Kuwait or New Zealand today. People had enough space to live and wars were not yet a thing. That is probably the reason that these houses/dynasties could last that long. Living together in a city was probably enough to keep wrongdoers at bay. Btw I do the same with the exorbitant ages given in the bible, which also give much more reasonable ages.

I'm a shaman and the spirits say that "Year" in Sumerian does not mean the same thing as the modern solar Year definition. Also the true Eridu is most likely in Africa, as the migrations after the Ice Age 10 000 years ago forced humanity to migrate a lot as temperatures were changing and the middle East stayed bountiful for a long time allowing monolithic construction.
