I always thought it was genius how they made a comic with the game. If you read the comic before playing the game, it made it feel like these were real people with motives and wants, so it made much more entertaining gameplay.

I remember my brother and I were reading the instruction manual on the way home... it just made the whole experience so exciting for us (especially since we had just got into reading comics!), and we already knew which vehicles we wanted to try first. It might be such a small thing, but it captured our imaginations and without the instruction book it wouldn't have been one of those magical moments from childhood.

@@naejimba That’s the kind of stuff you never forget. The snes I think was the golden era of Nintendo, where they gave credit to all of their IPs.

Always loved the story potential of this game. Racers putting their lives on the line in this super-speed death race for a wide variety of personal reasons make for some compelling characters and it would be interesting to explore who and what the shady elites who orchestra the whole thing are actually like.

I want to eventually get around to doing the N64 Lore for F-Zero as there's a lot to work with there. But I did about 3 videos on the channel related to F-Zero in rapid succession so I wanted to give the topic a bit of time before circling back to it again. I do plan to eventually check it all out though. I think it's really a fantastic series with a lot of opportunities to tell a compelling story through another lore video.

Even though there wasn't much to the original lore, the bones of what was there was DARK. Don't get me wrong, I love games like GX that are goofy, but there was something cool about the vibe of that first game. I have ideas if I can get to the point of making my own game, and I'm going to go much, much darker. I think with everyone's fears of the future and where we are headed, that might strike a chord.

The universe and lore for console games plus fzero maximum velocity it is so big is line another warhammer 40,000 but racing instead of war.

One thing I never did understand about the F-Zero course designs is why are there some tracks that have unfinished parts to them ? Like at 04:26. Also, I wonder if there is any lore of the BS F-Zero Grand Prix 1 & 2 from the Satellaview.

Oh it's because depending on the League you choose, you get a different variation of the track. Port Town II (pictured at your time stamp) is one such example. It saves data on the cartridge to simply block off the other version when not in use, than to have two separate instances .
