idk if im looking into this too much but I'm starting to think he's not that good of a pogo player given that he doesn't remember ANY ultra beasts despite them being a massive deal when they came to the game. like did he just not do any raids for them? was he not playing? he also said he doubts kartana is a better attacker than roserade which is....insane, if you know shit about pokemon go

watching NL instantly think to put Buzzwole for Bug/FIghting, seeing and reacting to Guzzlord in the same menu, and not knowing either of them are ultrabeasts is just peak NL Pokedoku. Also, for someone so Gen 1/2 pilled, he goes for Buzzwole instantly instead of Heracross. Its too good.

There's a fun way to softlock the pokedoku on this day, thanks to the two bug/fighting ultra beasts from Alola. Put buzzwole and pheremosa on row two in either order and it's *impossible* to get 9 filled, since you can't use the same guy twice and those two are the only fighting type ultra beasts.

I agree with NL on sugar and alcohol but Caffeine is genuinely in too much shit for zero purpose and it's a genuine concern because like, it is a stimulant so it is pumping your heart. As someone who can't have it anymore bc I'm already tachycardic let me say this: caffeine is honestly probably the most slept on contributing factor to the rise of heart disease outside of leaded gasoline.

I would know, because videogame addiction nearly ruined my life because I kept ignoring my body sending me alert signals because I wanted to keep playing.

The way he described the title it didn’t talk about harm, though. Just “normalized” and “addiction”. I feel like alcohol addiction isn’t really normalized. Alcohol *consumption* is normalized, sure. But you best believe that “I don’t function until I’ve had my coffee” would get a different response to “I don’t funtion until I’ve had a drink”

@@matthewdebeer8453so true. There's so much in place to help with alcohol addiction. Also when you hear "alcohol is a normalised addiction" sounds a little bit believable. But if you say "alcoholics are normalised" you can immediately say no they aren't. I'd say that supports what you're saying a little, because people are falling to a bias with the wording.
