Thanks for that. I wish I could speak half as eloquently as you. I am Australian but I enjoy Cormac's novels exceedingly. I have read all of his except, No Country for Old Men. The Crossing is my second favorite novel of his. Breaks one's heart at times & I can't get enough of his philosophical angles especially running into the Old dude. Interestingly I couldn't remember he wrote parts from the She Wolf's point of view, Thanks for that again! Oh yea I love scotch too :)

Cool analysis. Picking a favorite book is like picking a favorite song; the product of the time and place and the emotion of the moment. But I keep coming back to this book, I’ve read it at least five times, it would be tough to pick another book ahead of it. Oh, and I can’t believe anyone thinks Billy wasn’t sincere.

I couldn't agree more. This was one of my favorite ones I read this year. I'm glad you enjoyed the video! Thank you for watching!

Great video. I was actually very engrossed in this book. Just finished it today. I found the most beleaguered part to me was when the Gypsies towing the airplane ran into Billy on the road. That strained my attention span a bit. There are other parts that ran along the same line but none of them made me lose interest. I am used to McCarthy’s style though. The only book of his I’ve yet to read is Cities of the Plain and I’m starting that as soon as I post this comment. Really enjoyed the video. I’ll definitely check more of yours.

There were a few moments like that for me, too! Same thing for me with the airplane. I bet you’ll enjoy Cities of the Plain. It’s excellent. The pacing is a lot less meandering than the Crossing, too. You’ll have to let me know what you think about it. Thank you for the comment and for watching!

Used Google Translate to read the Spanish passages. There’s nothing of note in those passages. They can be safely skipped.
