The Cygnus Enigma examines the link between the archaeological treasurehouse that is Newgrange, the myths which relate to that eminent place, and other interesting factors which together form a fascinating ancient mystery. It is revealed for the first time how the various elements of the Cygnus story formed an astronomical masterplan in ancient times, and how, quite possibly, the Stone Age people were able to see the precession of the equinoxes.
In our investigation, we examined the relationship between the astronomical constructs of Newgrange and Fourknocks, the Whooper Swan which winters at Newgrange, the constellation Cygnus and the numerous myths and stories about Newgrange which relate to swans.
The Cygnus Enigma is fully documented in our book, Island of the Setting Sun - In Search of Ireland's Ancient Astronomers

I went there one a bus trip from Dublin on Bus Erin . The Driver should have been paid four times because he was a learned historian a comedian a shepherd and the driver. He never lost one of us ; We went to Tara and Newgrange . As the party left out of what was referred to as a Passage Grave myself and a gentleman were were at the rear of the party and the two of us were gazing over at the two other mounds and it struck me that the last time I had seen the shape that all three mounds suggest was the shape of stomach of a girlfriend of mine in the last month of pregnancy .Each of the mounds are slightly off from center . I mentioned this to my companion and he said he was thinking exactly the same thing . That and the fact that the catches the sun on the shortest day which is the birth of the next year makes me think it may be more a rebirth symbol as opposed to death that they had in mind . The three lobes of the mound, three mounds and the repetition of the three spiral shapes remind me of the Norns . The Wyrd sisters or the Tripartite Goddess .some times represented the young maid who spins the cord the woman who weaves the cloth and the crone who snips the thread The swans are connected to the three also. They show up in the myths of the Greeks and the Scandinavians and Romans as the Fates Weird or Wyrd is the same word as fate and they are assosiated with time past time present and time that will be . That spiral shows up as a petroglyph on a canyon wall in the South West USA and it is plotted from the sun projected though a long V shaped crack on one side of the Canyon . It takes three months of plotting the tip of the sun peeking though the crack to generate a spiral that looks exactly like one of those spirals Probably just a coincidence

Cygnus, the celestial swan of classical mythology, is perhaps the oldest constellation in the world. It was represented as a bird on a pole within the Lascaux cave in southern France some 17,000 years ago, while Göbekli Tepe - a megalithic stone temple complex 11,500 years old in southeast Turkey - is aligned to this same star group, as are other Neolithic cult centres locally. It is the same story with ancient stone and earthen structures worldwide, from the bird effigy mounds of North America to the Olmec centres of Mexico. From the Incan sacred city of Cuzco, to the Egyptian Pyramids of Giza, the Hindu temples of India, and even Avebury, the largest stone circle in Europe - all reflect an age-old interest in Cygnus. Why was this constellation singled out as important by our ancestors?... THE CYGNUS MYSTERY A New Book from Andrew Collins

@@rexpimplemyer3839 O yes it does. The Aliens were probably dressed inappropriately for the neighbourhood. A small Sash or a splash of Green would probably have made the visit ok.
