I believe the cannon firing when you approach the base was them firing liberators. Notice that with their legs drawn in, liberators appear similiar to 30mm mortar shells. I imagined they were either fired from emplacements, or dropped by bombers as submunitions.

So heres my thoughts regarding the interloper and this "infant" one: if it's not revealed to be another species entirely or some kind of very brief experiment, i would say it's probably a specific breed of animal that mutated similarly to harold the tree. My best guess is it could have been a shrew or a groundhog, both are common to appalachia and both can fit into the "mutate to huge sizes" scale we see everywhere (scorch beast, mega sloth, bloatfly, etc.), i thought of these two due to their fondness for undergrowth and being underground (near roots) and thought maybe a type of plant or tree basically parasitized the species. Not the first time we've seen that.

If anyone's wondering. The key is on one of the power armor guys. The game glitches for me when I entered and everyone but the power armor guys spawned so I never found the key until I reloaded into a new server.

To anyone who wants to spare Jen's mom, Mochou, and have her move in with Jen at Foundation, your safest option is to have a SPECIAL Charisma stat of 8 or higher to convince Jen to spare Mochou's life, which is available after you pick the second reply in the first set of responses that pop up when talking to Jen, which is to convince her that her mom is still her mom, even though she was working for the Communists the whole time Jen thought she was dead. After that, pick the Intelligence 12+ option or the one saying that you don't need the stealth suit after the Vault 79 raid and Jen will agree that once the raid is done, the suit will be destroyed to ensure Mochou's surviving supervisors from the People's Liberation Army or Chinese Communist Party won't be able to track her anymore. From there, side with Foundation, complete the raid, and when you return to Foundation later, Mochou will have moved in with Jen alongside the other new members in Captain Fields, Penelope Hornwright, Fields' team, and if he was spared earlier, Aubrie, along with Tutti Frutti and the Recalibrated Liberator.

I came across this at lvl 18. Those crickets were tough. I didn't venture into the complex although I did take out 3 or 4 communists outside.

The cave crickets likely had nothing to do with the guy’s death as the water was radioactive or at least very much related to the ultracite, the earth quake was likely the nukes going off which is what irradiated most of the spies into ghouls and is what caught up so much of the underground caves.

Jeez the voice acting in 76 is insane! Best fallout voice acting by far!

Ok, judging from the Chinese accent, the voice actors are most likely from the Northern parts of China, as it differs from my own. Otherwise, they got a foreigner who have some level of degree in Chinese, because of the accent again.

The creature in the cave is a stranger things reference. Looks like one of the creatures in season 2, the dust/ash rises up instead of falls and the ambient music is similar to the ambient music in the series.
