In my multi POV story, my main character isn't supposed to be seen as the main character by the readers. She's just a low ranked henchgirl for the antagonist. Her teammates mostly look down on her, and for the protagonists, she's just an obstacle to remove. However. if you care to think about this "unimportant side character", you may notice that she is actually a nice person, competent in what she does. And what she does isn't really evil. So, I hope the reader will eventually think "Wait a minute! That's not fair." When she starts to fight back, hopefully the readers will root for her.
