Nice pick, dude. I'm going to go out on a thickk limb here to put my two cents in and that is: The Kraken is escalation bait. Depending on how system security rating works and actual actiity will determine where a Kraken goes by the amount of support it can summon on demand. The reason being is that the first couple of years this is going to be the PVP target of choice because so many people have openly declared they are going to run a mining operation with it. The Privateer just as likely notwithstanding............ If used intelligently it will be a battle-tender for lights and mediums to rearm and refit and repair and refuel. Likely with the help of a couple of Vulcans that can double park and double duty repair and refueling. Depending on reload times this could handle an actual entire squadron or more of 20-30 fighters. This further means that it will likely be placed directly into the "belly" of a larger fleet for overall protection, can contribute significant point-D fire, and overlap its repair vulcans to nearby capitals.

Great overview and insights into the Kraken. You pointed out a number of things I had not considered. And you hit the nail on the head when you said they will be used as a pocket space station. My intent is to have my Kraken be a base to support deep space explorers and artifact hunters. I have a loose idea of renting out the vendor spaces to enterprising individuals for whom an off-grid deep space base would be handy. As well, I will be able to provide all the services with the rest of my fleet, such as repair, salvage, fuel, medical, etc. I am also equipped for mining and cargo operations, for an additional revenue stream and to haul back parts and supplies and such. So I will not be putting out any beacons, but will sort out some mechanism for people who know we exist to get there. However, I really do want to land it on a planet! I love big and slow, but just to see that thing parked planet side would be incredible.

Kraken Priv has 3 big advantages over the BMM. BMM is 1 whole cargo, no private shop and can't rent shop. Kraken Priv has seperate SCU per shop of 189scu plus it had 10 shops in total 2 people private for more illigeal or rare good, you can also rent your kraken Privateer shops to other players, land and players who land on your pads can refuel/restock/repair, I see the BMM as a corner store where the Kraken is the Walmart superstore, BMM rocks I own one but as a over all shop Kraken Priv offers more freedom

I'm a Solo Player, I'd really love to own a Kraken. The Kraken requires dependabile freinds to help run it. I'm enjoying the Smaller ships and just exploring different gameplay ATM. I'm happy that you got your dream ship, Congradulations! I love the Drake Ships and the Reliant Tana. My Cutlass Black is now fully upgraded with the Halloween Green Paint. I Just helped PhaseOne and company, kill a bunch of hammerheads with it, good times! I also assisted with a kill on an Idris with my stock load out cutlass on my second day of gameplay. I'm having way too much fun! I've also just started making Live Streams, the videos aren't that good, but it's been a fun learning process.

You can only load ships on it that you own and that you intend to carry, and only while at a port of some type.. You can't just spawn your ships from it whenever you want... Thankfully lol.. That would kill fleet combat if it could unleash an endless wave of vessels at enemies lol Great video!

This is one of my dream ships to aim toward. I am hoping to either get or crew a Privateer. Nice use of the model, sucks you can’t get a hold of the textured one. But I do agree, the BMM affected its value quite a bit. The Kraken does need a buff.

Talk about an Org ship, if they put in for you to be able to restock it your self being able to land a Raft or bigger would be nice.

I have a Privateer in my buy back and there is a concern with the way you contact / announce your selling items and materials. Hence why I have a BMM and a Second BMM in my buyback for… reasons

Great video. As someone who appreciates carrier based gameplay the Kraken is a "halo" product that i would love to earn in game some day. For now i am ready to get a Liberator when it releases. I see the giveaway has ended, was a winner announced yet?

I was really serious about buying a kraken because knowing what ships are available I know eventually it's going to be my mobile base. But coming from my position in reality, it just made more sense to upgrade my PC after 13th gen intel cpu comes out so I'll be good in the foreseeable future. At least assuming the current engine is what they stick which, let's hope.

Is another difference the internal hangars? I thought the Privateer lost the 3 small ship hangars
