Yeah essentially carmilla is afraid if the citizens of hell find out angels can be killed, they'll wage a war against heaven, and its possible everyone in hell is wiped out as a result, including her daughters.

Michael Monroe Iglehart who plays Zestiel is a Tony Award winning performer on Broadway and originated the role of Genie in Aladdin on Broadway. Carmilla Carmine's VA Daphne Rubin-Vega was nominated twice for a Tony Award and originated the role of Mimi in the musical Rent. This show is filled to the brim with genuinely incredible vocal talent as is Vizie's (the creator of Hazbin) other show on KZfaq, Helluva Boss. I mean there is an episode of Helluva Boss, where the lyrics of the song and the music was written in concert with Kesha who also voices (but doesn't sing) for the character Beelzebub. Of course you don't need to know this to enjoy the music, but the talent is excellent throughout this show, genuinely. And I think it has a LOT to do with why these songs are such incredible bops.

Heaven halved the time for the next extermination due to one angel dying under "uncertain" circumstances. If Hell was publicly able to fight back, it would turn into an all out war with no pause. Carmilla doesn't want that, because if the extermination only happens once on a set day, she can know when to protect her daughters. Nevermind that they were out in the open on the last extermination; the one day they should have been hiding, but plot.... and everything else is great story wise.

Nobody knew demons could kill angels. Carmilla managed to do it when protecting her daughters. We don’t know how yet. But she wanted to keep it secret because if people knew they’d feel confident in rising up against Heaven. And there’s no way to know whether her daughters would survive that conflict. Carmilla is singing about being her daughters’ keeper. Vaggie is singing about Charlie, being her armor and fulfilling her dreams.

Fun Fact: Alex Brightman, who voices Adam & Sir Pentious, has said in an interview that he has a strange thing going on with his vocal chords that allows him to do crazy voice work without it affecting him negatively. The specific interview was about his voice for Beetlejuice on Broadway, but it most assuredly applies to the voices he does in this series too. So his Sir Pentious voice, with all the added sssss sounds, probably came very naturally & easily for him. And if he ever did miss a scene where he was supposed to add that in, I'm sure the full line was just re-recorded rather than just the sound being added in later.

Been loving your reactions to the show! Basically sinners have never harmed or killed an angel ever. Carmilla was the first and only to but she did it because an angel tried to attack her daughters. She doesn't want it getting out that angels can be killed because there's a chance that fighting back would put her daughters at risk. Adam and Lute (the main angels) plan to kill EVERYONE in the next extermination due to an angel being killed. Also Sir Pentious didn't believe the eggs cause they say wild stuff all the time lol.

A strong theme i lioe thats shown heavy in this show is old gs new overlords The vs like velvet are willing to kill their own souls and contractees to gain smll victories while old overlords are planing wya to save the people who sold their souls to them New overlords think they will quickly replace any souls they lose while old overlords know they staid in power over generations be ause they kept those souls safe and grew their power base without too many risks

Episode 4 has some heavy content. Episode 5 also to some extent but not as much. Episode 4 deals with sexual assault, while episode 5 deals with abandonment issues and depression.

Not sure if anyone else made this comment before me, but if you look back at the lyrics of Carmilla's song, it wasn't so much that killing an angel was breaking a rule. It was rather that if anyone in hell caught wind of the reality that it was possible to kill an angel, then they'd all rise up to go to full on war against heaven, which would then lead to a bigger massacre in which her daughters could be killed.

Carmilla is not afraid of Heaven's retaliation (she should be tho), she instead is afraid that if people in Hell knew angels can be killed, they would rise to war against Heaven (just like Velvette suggested), and if there is a full scale war, there is so much more chance she would lose her daughters.

If you were really most like Charlie, you would have been supporting Angel Dust from the begining like she was. Instead, you needed to see the contrition from him before you got behind him. Thats the opposite of what Charlie did with Angel and Sir Pinteous. So I dont think you are as much of a Charlie as you think you are.
