At 35 days NC he reached out and I no longer cared or wanted a relationship with him. I’m in the bait stage. I find baiting so disrespectful. After the breakup, he was so cold and mean. I cried a lot and he knew I was hurting, but he couldn’t care less. For him to come back with a simple “hey” was more disappointing than him saying nothing to me. As much as I want to express myself to him I refuse to say anything. Talking to him about how he made me feel would be pointless. He needs to realize that on his own. It sucks that they only reach out when they want something from you, these type of people have no empathy. Stay far far away

1 year and 3 months full of No Contact and going strong! During the sixth month of NC, I've made the decision to block and remove my ex-fiancé off of social media and, let me tell you this: Best decision ever. Why? You see, it actually gave me a "sense" of control the situation and was able to take care of myself not just physically but mentally as well. I told myself that, "She will never ever find anything new about me. Not even a single drop. If she wants to speak to me, my phone is always open 24/7. No excuse." I think that no contact is absolutely brilliant. It's wonderful in that it gives you the best chances of your ex coming back, but if it doesn't work, it has already put you on the path to recovery, and happiness, and also keeping your dignity in not begging. However, I think some videos about self improvement are the next logical step. An ex will probably reach out, and want a second try after they realize you're stronger than they thought, but if real changes aren't made, they will probably end up leaving again (they left for a reason and if it's not changed will leave again).

My ex randomly reached out several months ago to tell me I need to let him go and move on and when I honestly told him that I wasn't holding on to him and that I was living my best life, he back peddled and told me how much he missed me, said the good memories way outnumbered the bad, let it slip that he watches my social media and even said I could be in the Guinness World Book of Records for most unique woman. When I watched your videos and heard this I was livid. It made me even work harder. And harder. Have hope guys . My ex called me after 6 months of no contact. At that point I was dating someone else he was the last thing on my mind. Now I have him chasing me. The tables have changed. I do not ignore him. I am civil to him How the tables have turned.

It’s been 23 days since my lady dumped me after a very good 8 year relationship! I’ve been in no contact since. I was completely blindsided, I believe there’s another man involved. I’m dying inside, I get sick to my stomach on a daily basis. I really love this woman. I’ve been in the gym lifting weights like an insane person. Upside is I’ll get back in excellent shape. I really believe I have zero chance of getting her back unless her new relationship falls apart by that time I won’t want her back. I was the one that ended my 2 year relationship, to the most wonderful human, due to external stress factors. I pleaded for 2 weeks and he said he wouldn’t re enter a relationship with me because he wouldn’t be able to be the same with me. I told him I’d keep fighting; but what I did was listen to him and enter NC. I’m only 9 days in but I’m already thinking ‘why ruminate and long over someone who doesn’t want me? If he can’t support me at stressful times then maybe he’s not for me. I’m secretly hoping he comes back, but already I’m making huge progress in only 9 days.

I would say pretend there is a mandated Court Order. If you break that contact law that is in place, you will end up in jail with now even more consequences. If you’ve ever had one slapped on you, you’ll realize just how strong you are! Trust me!

I’m coming back to these videos over two years after getting my girl back. And we’re now about to get married. Let me just say one thing that’s kind of the opposite advice of what these coaches are saying. At the end of the day you need to really know your girl. You need to truly understand her personality to really be able to deep dive into what you were doing wrong in the relationship. If you don’t then you probably will never get your girl back. I appreciate these videos but I sort of did the opposite of a lot of what they suggested because I obviously knew my fiancé soon to be wife a lot better than a coach video online. But they did help me get through some of the emotional stages of being broken up with.

Day 6 of no contact and we’ve been broken up for 9 days. It hurts so much, but he views my stories very fast and when we broke up he was very emotional. I have started going back to the gym and being more independent in myself, my lack of independence was I think what pushed him away. I hope no contact works. He is my home.

No contact in my opinion includes delete and block your ex on social media, block them on your phone or change your number. Fill your time with things that make you feel better, take care of yourself. Post break up time is not a race with your ex, move on.

She broke with me 20 days ago, I gave her a perfect break up, I am not looking at her stories but she is looking at mine, one night she posted story for close friends and I was there, I didn’t look and she deleted it later. I'm glad you mentioned "2 or 3 months" as a minimal reasonable grieving time because one coach I came across was boasting techniques that "Get Your Ex Back In 30 Days" and I'm not ready for her yet. My emotional circuits just won't realign that fast. As of now, if contact were made, I'd just be hitting her with an angry list of grievances so fast. Being "slow and casual but polite" is quite beyond me at this time, meaning that No Words out of me are the only right words :( It's a total exercise in self-discipline, isn't it?

I dropped off my ex's stuff 2 weeks ago and have been in no contact since. She told me when I dropped off her stuff she needed time to collect her thoughts and didn't want to talk. She later texted me that she still left a jacket at my place, and she also has some of my clothes still. We haven't spoken since. I have been going out with friends on the weekends to get my mind off things and enjoy life, and every story I post on IG she looks at. I have her muted on all socials so I'm not tempted to look, but my friends have been telling me she's been talking bad about me, and posting mean things on her socials. Your videos have taught me that that kind of behavior is better than being indifferent, but at this point she seems like a completely different person than the person I knew and loved (which you also talk about). It's nice to be able to just go out and live life while working on myself, no bitterness, no resentment. Now i'm sticking to no contact and continuing to work on myself and I'm excited to see where life takes me!

No contact is the best possible thing. I was devastated when my "dismissive avoidant" ex blindsided me and dumped me by email after 8 months. For the next week we went back and forth and I felt crazy (I'm not now and I wasn't then, but that's how you feel). I did no contact for 40 days (as of today) and it took 4 weeks for me to process the emotional hurt to even start going back to analyze what happened. Definitely starting to see now that there were big red flags in his behaviors that I didn't address and let slide, and when thinking about even considering trying to restore anything (I wouldn't have been with him in the first place had I not liked a lot of things about him), I now realize that some of these things are non-negotiables for future relationships and healthy boundaries that need to be addressed. This was only after doing the work on myself when totally separate. So though I miss the person and the good parts of what we had, and clearly am here to sort out how to even begin approaching getting back together, I know what needs to be addressed so history doesn't repeat itself. Those may be things that prevent us from ever getting back together, and therefore so be it. But I could NOT have done that without complete space.

Hi, Coach Lee. You have really been a blessing to me in the past month in a half. I have relied on you, prayer, and your videos to help get me through a very painful breakup where my ex blind sided me out of nowhere, and ghosted me after 2.5 years in a solid, loving relationship. 10 months of No Contact -- stayin' true!

We broke up a couple of weeks ago and he tagged me in something a couple of days ago. I never responded. He texted last night a couple of memes. I replied this morning: “Making a wellness check? Lol Dumbass.”

Keeping NC is so difficult, it's been 3 weeks since I implemented NC, 4 weeks since my ex of 1yr ghosted me out of the blue when work was becoming overly demanding and causing him to work weekends (we were long distance, 4.5hrs away, he would come out every weekend, I realized about stepping up to go out by him the weekends he had to work too late, I suppose). I know the whole thing was difficult on him through some of the last few messages he had sent me, he was distant and seemed sad. I know he's a jerk for ghosting rather than verbally breaking up, but we had such an amazing year together and everything clicked, our kids meshed well with each other, sexual chemistry was high... we even went on a 2 week vacation over the summer which was stressful but fun and everyone truly enjoyed it. I love this man so incredibly much, but I'm giving him that space and time and am doing my best to focus on myself... I was a widow of a 19yr marriage before dating him, and he was so incredibly understanding of that as well. None of this makes any sense other than the distance, work and him catching up with friends... I'm sure all 3 were factors. He isn't seeing anyone new, and I do hope that he may be missing me and that he reaches out. It's just so so difficult to keep from messaging him, so many memories that we have in just 1 year. He made me feel alive and happy - of the guys I was talking to when I decided to start dating again, he was the one who just felt natural and a true connection... I do not fall in love easily, I'm very observant and aware (my late husband was my first true boyfriend at age 19). - anyway, it's nice knowing I'm not here alone in this difficult time. (sorry for the long post)

This is still highly useful. I'm not personally going to try and get my ex back. I want to move on to someone else, but this advice still helps because it lends me closure knowing that I can keep her as a friend in time. This is my timeline: 1st no contact try, she contact me after 3weeks, I made the mistake of ignore (Coach Lee don't recommend that). 2round no contact, 4months, she was cruel and cold. 3round NC, 1month, she contact me for a very silly matter. I feel the need to comment this. I’m reading through comments and the one thing I’m seeing in all of them is the no contact being used as a form of manipulation or tactic. No, no contact is supposed to be used to benefit you. Take this time to reflect on the relationship, don’t romanticize it, really look at it. We’re you happy when you were with your SO? Do work on yourself. Go to war with yourself. Move on. If they come back, you’ll be in a diff mindset and hopefully so will they. If they don’t come back, you’re not disappointed bc you’ll be in a different mindset completely.

Hi Lee, I’ve been in no contact for nearly 2 months now (had to answer to a few of her text messages, though, unfortunately) and my EX is leaving in a few weeks to another country - the US, which is impossible for me to get into with my qualifications. I know I will never see her again, but I also know there’s no one quite like her. Yes, I think she will meet someone when she goes back home… I know it’s over and I have zero hope left, but I’m not feeling any better. No contact isn’t helping me move on. I've been a little over a month of NC now, but before that, for like 3 weeks, I was beging and pleading my ex-gf, and she definitely was in relief for those 3 to 4 weeks, because every weekend she was going out with her friends to the club, and there I was, mad at it. When I went in NC, I admit, I have been posting a little more often about places I've been visiting with my friends, having lunch, having fun! A couple weekends behind, on a saturday morning, she posted a story about her and her friends on a club, and the nex day, on monday, she posted a quote about breakups, saying as follow: "After a breakup realize that you had a life BEFORE them and you can still have a life AFTER them, you just have to find yourself again". I smell that bait from a mile away, because one day she is in a club having the time of her life, having the life she had before knowing me, and the next day, she posts that? Yeah, made no sense. Another thing that I've been realizing is that when I ignore her instagram stories, she tends to ignore mine, but she can't, she keeps watching my stories, doesn't like my posts, but that's alright, I know she sees them, and I know it affects her, especially with all the places I've been visiting and I know she would like to go there as well. Now with Christmas around the corner, I feel that she will miss me even more, and I'm not going to send a message saying "merry christmas". Whatever the outcome may be, I want to thank you, I've been binge watching your videos, and it has been super usefull. I was feeling so lost after a 5 years old relationship, but I'm raising my head, and it will keep being that way. So again, thank you, Coach Lee

Thank you Coach Lee, through your videos I learned to love myself and realised that my ex-boyfriend is not worth it; he was a manipulator and pretty immature. No contact for me was essential to heal and give myself what I was looking for in that person. If you really believe that your ex-partners are worth it, try it to start a new relationship with them if not, to recover yourselves.

I've had no contact for 2 months now, and yes he thinks I will always wait for him because we go back so far. We were together for 3 years as teens, and 10 yrs together up till over 4 months. He has a new girlfriend that tells him that; he did the right thing leaving her. Then she goes on about how good she is for him. This woman is easy and hard-looking. He hooked up with the other woman only a week later after dumping me. I am in a long-distance relationship nothing big, but my ex lost it. Andi post nothing.

I wish I'd seen this 1 month ago. My ex GF did exactly this, she ended it, we had no contact for around 1 month, then she emailed me telling me how I was everything she wanted in a man, had all the traits she was looking for, was a great dad, how no-one had ever treated her so well, shown her such love. I stupidly ran right back to her, fed into her ego, and what happened, after 3 weeks of trying again, she ended it, told me she didn't feel the same. I can see now that I was too eager to please, created that imbalance, and she got what she needed and broke my heart again. We've been 1 week apart, and today I crumbled and messged. When will I learn 😢

I did a little begging for a few days which angered her, but afterwards, I disappeared and completley stopped reaching out. It's now day 5 and it hurts but I have too much self-respect to beg more. In fact, her response to it turned me off and reminded me that I'm the prize!
