@@cindybeckwith1533 thanks Cindy. It's been very helpful especially on species of wood that I can't get made into crown molding

Oh man! I didn't even know there was such a thing as 23ga stapler. Gotta get one. And. I really love the look of that moulding

The best part is you can use any size of material for it. Plus you can add to this molding if you want different profiles on the inside

Love the idea and the stitching got you a sub. The only downside I see is getting the 1x material in long enough stock. Specifically if it was to be stain grade. That could be tough. For paint grade, it might be worth investing in a finger-joint router setup and a jig.

Thats a good point. Where im at. I can get poplar in long lengths but other species not so much. I like the idea for the finger jount. Hears an option. Use the stitching method to make longer stock. Even a but joint would work. Then run the mitered piece's over the joint and stager the jount. Tuus is good food for thought. Thanks 👍

Would you use MDF for this? Thank you.
@henrymostert21258 ай бұрын
Hi George absolutely I would use MDF for this. Make sure that you prime the backside as well when you paint it because it has a horrible tendency to warp if you only paint it one side
