I truly believe that The Easybeats were one of the best bands of the 60s and Steve Wright was an extremely talented singer and performer .

This was the boy's first released single and in my opinion their best. It's a brilliant piece of bluesy rock. Even though it was released two years before Friday on My Mind it would have been the perfect follow up to that classic. Most people overseas would never have heard of it so for them it would have been brand new. It could have changed the course of Easybeat history. The band and perhaps even Stevie may have had a very different outcome.

The Easybeats were a breakthrough band in Aussie music in the early 60s. Right up there with the Stones in their music and lyrics. I was only 14 when the band played a gig at our school Caringbah High. Our school hall was meant to hold around 400, but I swear there were 1000 there that night. For My Woman, Come and See Her, the rest was a magic blur for a 14 year old. RIP Stevie. You, George, Harry, Dick and Snowy will always be legends in Oz and everywhere people enjoy gutsy rock. No PC garbage here!!

I LOVE that Brian Henderson disliked this track as being "too tribal". As a little boy, I absolutely adored The Easybeats. Each and every song was so muscular and singular. Like me, they were immigrants and outsiders, and their sound was always that little bit "left field" of the Beatles and Stones. Cass, you were so privileged to have these guys at your high school - I'm very jealous! & come the 70s, it was such a buzz to have David Bowie cover "Friday on My Mind". RIP Stevie & George.

This would have been considered uncouth in the sixties and for the British especially, they ended up preferring Peter Paul n Mary and The Seekers . They were willing to try new ideas yet George Martin didn't progress with them for some reason .In Come And See Her they're also trying a new idea.

Yes but the British music 🎵 industry was to up there own butt to know what was happening. They should have stayed with Perry Como and Tony Bennett 😢😢. The Easybeats was the best group to have come out of Australia. The New Seekers and Peter Paul and Mary were not considered to be a Rock and Roll band, they were Folk music 🎵🎵 singer's. . The next Legend's to come out of Australia was the Bee Gees . But there would be no Australian music if it wasn't for Stevie wright and his band The Easybeats. And the Easybeats would not have been anybody with out Stevie wright and his arobic jump's and leaps and Dancing.

RIP George, just watched the ABC mini series and although I realised just what a huge influence they had on Oz music (Vanda & Young) they were a little bit ahead of their time. If they stuck it out, they would have been absolutely huge/

@@chygwelanmeneth That one and a few others are OK, but they went away from their basic rock roots. I had Absolute Anthology which came out around 1980. Always played it up to "Friday".

I am learning the guitar - a late starter, yes. I was trying to master the tricky F chord. The first two fingers.. Good. Go to stretch the third finger. Ouch. D minor 7. (ouch) F. D minor 7. Now, F. Hmm.. That reminds me of an old song!
