The Easybeats had plenty of beautiful songs and they were really skillful players. They definitely deserve more attention

I think that the song as a hole was great. All the members did a great job. But I think that the drummer was the driving force of the song. Also Stevie Wright's great performance in the way he was doing his dancing with such enthusiastic move's. No wonder that he was such a great performer and front man. No one else had what he had. He taught them all how to entertain the audience and always looked so happy to be performing.

It was a very great tragedy that they were not given more of a chance to be performing in the USA. The Girls here would have been able to boost their music and popularity off the charts. They had the look's, the talent and the music that was as great as any other groups from that time. I only heard the song Friday on my mind And had no idea who sang it. It wasn't until I looked it up in the year 2023 on my you tube channel that I was able to find out who they were. Have been looking for any thing on them ever since. Here in the USA we can not find anything on them. or on Stevie wright solo music . I would like to before I die I'm 68 and a half.years old now. Thanks.

I know. And it's sad because they are all so great 👍. I live in the USA and I didn't know who they were. But I 😍 the song called Friday On My Mind. It is only recently that I found out about them. I was going through my CDS with my phone on Google and found it. Looked them up and found alot of their music 🎵. They are Great 👍. Wish I had found out about them before Stevie & George young passed away.

@@shanemartin8904 What do you mean. " Not Surprised?" If they had a better Management team doing their job the Easybeats would have been just as great 👍👍👍 as any other groups of the 1960 & 70 s . It was not their fault that they were not able to find any Fame here. It is the Music industry that was to Blame For their Snotty attitude towards who was good enough for the Uk. Those people who were responsible for that should be working at a Hamburger Stand. Where they belong.

@@OldiesMommaBack in the 70s and 80s alot of Canadian bands were not promoted outside of there country and they were fantastic. Bands like Honeymoon Suite, The Spoons, April Wine, Strange Advance were fantastic. Never got the recognition.

Was Stevie wright married at this point. 🎉🎉🎉🎉 I thought that I saw a wedding ring on his hand during this performance of the song"In My Book". I hope that he was happy at the time. He had so little of it later on in his life.

@@suezyq14 But that doesn't mean that he was not married . People got married young. And they would have had to hide it from the fans. Because the girls would not have liked it. They met when he was 17 years old and dated for 4 year's. It could have been a sort of promise ring . She was using the back door to get in and out with out being seen

Approx mid 1966. Stevie was 16 when they first started in 1964. Plus he wrote all the lyrics thru the Australian era. 'In My Book' is beautiful.

chygwelanmeneth ... Stevie was still18 here because the show was aired in mid 1966 (just before they left for the UK in July). He turned 19 in December of that year. George was still 19. Harry was 20. Dick was still 18, he was the youngest being 8 days younger than Stevie. Snowy the old man in the band was still 20 he turned 21 in August.
