This is the second (and last) of my Edge of Night remixes. EON was the first mystery-crime drama soap that frequently involved lots of action and its setting, the fictional city of Monticello, was a character unto itself in the life of the series. This is a reworked, more action oriented version in keeping with what I think Edge would have involved into over time. Enjoy! (The Edge of Night is owned by Proctor & Gamble and this video is an entertainment-only fan produced tribute.)

I too watched The Edge Of Night years ago. This opening is awesome, and I think if this show were on today, this would be the kind of opening sequence that would go well with the theme of the show.

The Edge of Night should be considered for prime time. It would be a tremendous hit.

Well done. I always loved this show. If Prospect Park is successful with bringing All My Children and One Life To Live to the web, they should definitely try to bring a new version of Edge back as well. It could have a real cult following!

This is absolutely fantastic! A lot of the 'homemade' creations are power point presentations with music, but this is soo exciting and beautifully done. A modern interpretation if "Edge" made a comeback as a night time series... now there's a thought!!!

...Totally agree!..This intro is the BOMB..Captures the imagination of serpentine plots involving hijackings, madmen and all-around 21st century mayhem in a much larger Monticello. Nice!..Mr.Slesar is smiling from up above :-)

That is very good. I don't think we will see Edge of Night again unless maybe NBC decides to bring it back.

I wish i had the money to get a once a week version in primetime on ABC, I'd want to have writers who watched the show religiously and to start off after the cliffhanger, there definitely was one. I actually believe Edge Of Night would work today, it was different than soap I've seen, while you had relationships, it was more about a mystery instead of who was screwing who

You Know ABC Resurrecting The ALL MY CHILDREN Spinoff Titled PINE VALLEY I Am Sure That ABC Could Do The Same Thing Resurrecting THE EDGE OF NIGHT From Prime Time In A One Hour Format Produced By Procter& Gamble Productions In Association With ABC Signature.

The show should come back in the same vein as "Perry Mason meets Kolchak the Night Stalker" or "Supernatural"(never watched the show, but understand the premise of it). I'm thinking that it'd be more like a thriller as Dark Shadows or True Blood (with or without vampires). When you think "The Edge of Night", you would think of something like "The Twilight Zone" or "The Hitchhiker". This time with some resolution, some completion.
