My favorite is when one of the moms is critiquing Abby and Melissa acts like their problem is with Maddie. Melissa saying Christy was living off of Chloe is a joke. She let a ten year old dance like that with an adult and for what? That’s right. Money. Melissa is a joke and a liar. It’s been proven that she would pay for kids tuition and supplies by writing a receipt but never paying for it. Also, if it was anyone else that got a part Melissa would not have been as happy. Look at when Chloe got the lead in the music video or won over Maddie.

All I have to say is what I've always said Sia is like "out of the pan and into the fire". Abby was the frying pan and Maddie jumped right into the fire with Sia. Sia is obsessive, controlling, inappropriate with a CHILD, and if she were a male would seriously questioned for snuggling with a MINOR and saying her life is over if Maddie isnt in it. People keep saying how Sia "saved" Maddie. No she didnt. She GROOMED her, manipulated, and brainwashed her worse than Abby. For Sia to control what movies SHE thinks Maddie should and should do is insane. Shes bragged about making Maddie turn down a role because SHE didn't think it was good enough.

I saw some fans say that she actually saved Maddie from people in the industry (like the epstein (?) plane situation) as a justification of the other stuff she did. MackZBoss made a video on adults in Maddies life, but she didnt mention one thing i saw somewhere else - Sia was walking in a robe but it was not covering her chest fully and she was topless under that. There was a shot where you can see her and Maddie sitting in a back. Kinda weird, ngl

Sia clearly has a savior complex likely to cover up her own harmful behavior. She claimed that she could immediately see that Maddie was suffering from PTSD from the day she met her despite her complete lack of psychological knowledge. This lack of knowledge was further proven by her mess of a movie and her collaboration with autism speaks (an autism hate group that advocates for eugenics). She also said she kept Maddie from going on a plane with Harvey Weinstein but allowed her to perform with Shia Lebouf who has a long history of severely ab*sive behavior.

@JennaeBradshaw yup, definetely it doesnt give "father&daughter" vibes. They fight at the beginning and only at the end form the bond (so it gives more from hate to love trope), for parentship its the opposite - either the bond and the fighting or only caring for your child. A father figure would push her out of the cage right from the start so she can save herself. At least in a healthy setting but even in disfunctional families parents usually care, just dont show it in a right way.

A big problem with the "Elastic Hearts" video was that not only was it suggestive of pedophilia, (a grown man with an underage child), but that actor & performer Shia LaBoeuf, Maddie's "dance partner", had a history of participating in "adult films". The excuse most often used to excuse pornography is that the production or content is "ART", and that the pornography description is simply in the mind of the viewer. Most likely, "Elastic Hearts" was excused from being called "inappropriate", because Maddie was only 12 years old, was a "star" on the very popular "G" rated Dance Moms show, and she performed innocently in the video, with no idea of how suggestive it was. How would it look for "Lifetime" if "Elastic Hearts" was determined to be sexually suggestive, inappropriate, or pornographic? How would the music industry deal with a very popular video produced by one of the best known writers and producers, being considered pornography and/or appealing to pedophiles? Most important: How would a determination that "Elastic Hearts" was inappropriate or "pornographic" affect 12-year-old Maddie, who was completely innocent of the inappropriateness of the video she made with a grown man, who had a history of performing in "adult films"? Talented artist and creator SIA, knew exactly what she was doing when she put together "Elastic Hearts". She made up a ridiculous story for Maddie to dance to - that Maddie was a "werewolf" and that she was attacking Shia. Maddie said, "viewers didn't understand what was happening and that's why they didn't like the video". How could anyone attack such innocence? With REAL ART, viewers will see or understand what the piece is suggesting, especially after the symbolism is explained. To date, I still CANNOT SEE Maddie as a werewolf, attacking Shia LaBoeuf. Maybe I need some lessons in ART APPRECIATION? SIA got away with this by the skin of her teeth, and has kept her subsequent videos on the ART side of that red line.

Elastic Heart was really questionable, idc what other people think. The costumes and choreography would’ve been okay if it wasn’t for the fact Maddie was a child. It was basically a nude man dancing with a nude little girl, and regardless of any art or hidden message, it’s uncomfortable. Sia could’ve hired a child male dancer if she’d really wanted Maddie in it (although I personally believe the choreography was inappropriate for any child but that could just be me), or an older female dancer if she’d really wanted Shia.

@gymnasticsgirlie0647 8 ай бұрын
Maybe I'm missing something but Abby DID abuse the girls, and Melanie subjecting Hayley to Abby's wrath was subjecting her to abuse. Their feud wasn't trivial; Abby humiliated Hayley regularly on AUDC even though it was clear that Hayley feared her, embarrassed her at the book signing, and cruely never let the issue go. Renee saying that Melanie was like an abuse victim going back to their abuser wasn't that far off; while Melanie might not have been abused, her daughter was and Abby was her abuser. However, you're right that it was victim blaming because it rightfully called out Melanie as being a bad mom, likening her actions to that of abuse victims and therefore shaming them for their actions. That alone makes the comment in poor taste.

@Melanieglz
@Melanieglz 8 ай бұрын
Hayley was on season 2 of AUDC and that book signing was in her home town. When whoever asked her to sign the book, I doubt she thought much of it, cause you know, she’s a kid. Must have been exciting to be asked for an autograph. Either way, Abby should not have been holding that big of a grudge against her

Yeah I would never allow my daughter to dance in a video like that even if it was a “great opportunity” chandelier was already a pedo’s dream in the nude leotard and electric heart took it to another level. Both videos were extremely uncomfortable to watch.

Y’all really need to chill about the M/V for ‘Elastic Heart’. At the end of the day its just a dance and y’all are the ones making it seem weird. Y’all are the ones sexualizing it. Maddie is still close with Sia and Sia is the one who helped Melissa, Maddie and McKenzie break their contract and made a safe space for Maddie so stop making her look like the villain. Maddie said that some of the best times of her life were with Sia. Y’all always have to complain about everything and make issues where there aren’t any. Mind your business.

People are not understanding that a daughter who is now a grown adult helping support her parents financially when they are better off is not an issue at all and is very different to parents using their children for money when they are children, comparing maddie revealing she currently helps her mother out financially to parents living off of their underage children doesn’t actually make sense (not saying Christi was living off of her children’s money or not, just saying the comparison to their modern situation doesn’t make it ironic like everyone thinks)
