The typecast comment about Nia being the orphan is just plain disgusting

Season 5 shows how vile Abby was towards Nia after Chloe, Brooke and Paige left. But I hated how the moms try to downplay the treatment of Holly, Christi and Kelly. As well as Brooke, Paige, Chloe and Nia.

saying that nia is becoming a mini-me of holly is honestly a compliment. holly was always the most reasonable and she stood with nia every step of the way

You can tell how much Maddie feared Abby. She is so afraid of making Abby mad.

Jill and Melissa saying Abby’s bullying of Paige and Chloe was tough love they were shameful this season. Even defending Abby’s blatant racism of Nia she was one of the worst moms.

The annoying thing is Melissa and Jill knew how abusive Abby was, but continuously defended her publicly and thats why Abby got away with the things she did

We should get Christi and Kelly to react to one of your videos for a KZfaq video or a podcast episode. The podcast episode could be them reacting to many of your videos. Like your videos could be helpful for them to see what producers wanted.

The Rage dancers just casually doing perfect multiple pirouettes into illusions like it's nothing...

This episode seems more producer driven than usual. They planted a script for Jess to steal, sent MDP into the rehearsal room a dozen times, ordered a fruit basket, arranged a casting call, made up a fake blacklist, etc.

The fact of the moms actually trying to justify his actions towards Paige and Chloe is honestly, so disgusting. I understand that they wanted to keep Abby in their good graces to continue getting opportunities and so their kids wouldn’t be tortured but at the same time you as an adult have the responsibility to call out poor behavior from other adults for the sake of a child and well-being I don’t care if you’re not TV show or not

It’s insane how blind some of the moms are to Abby’s micro aggressions towards Nia. Nia is so many other things besides black. But Abby only saw her as a token. Nia is so mentally grounded. It’s astonishing she was just a kid when all of this was going on

Erin always loved Chloe clearly because unlike Abby she saw the passion and talent. Also though she was quiet disgusting for her comments about dieting on impressionable children.

Why should Abby get to sit in on the auditions if they are legit? It's none of her business

Most kids and studios know each other especially when they are on the level that MDP and Club Dance Studio are. Talia and Kalani were actually in the Top 3 Mini Female Best dancer at the 2011 Dance Awards, Talia 1st Runner-Up and Kalani 2nd Runner-Up. Both went on to win Best Dancer later on, Talia was 2012 Mini Female Dest Dancer and Kalani 2013 Junior Female Best Dancer.

I think it is quite odd that so many dances got perfect scores on this competition

I'm genuinely shocked at Erin, she comes across as such a positive teacher and person but reading some of these things she said and did, she seems to have a bit of an evil streak to her. I know the production notes aren't 100% reliable in terms of forming a character judgement but the diet comments and her tactics for "motivating" her students seem uncomfortably similar to some of Abby's behaviour

Erin seemed like the complete opposite of what she actually is. I thought she was just a hard pushing coach but if she’s pushing unhealthy diets while doing that brutal training .. I’m disappointed

3:49 once again I’m on Holly’s side, how does rehearsing next to your competition change anything? Abby will have her own dancers sit in the same room as the solo competition for the week and yells about how it’s good for kids to have a rival to push themselves harder, wouldn’t a competing team across the hall be the same thing? Their goal is to beat their team, how would that change from rehearsing next to them? I feel like that might have been a producer “say this” text to try and hide the fact that Abby due to her narcissism is a giant toddler.

They downplay Paige and Chloe and say that it tough love but if it was them they’d be the same as Christi and Kelly Melissa even says that they tolerate her verbal abuse and Jill said she says nothing because she doesn’t want Kendall to not have opportunities, I also hate how Abby excluded Jojo but praises her now as she’s the only one that she talks to

I love how you outline all the actions of the cast and crew and give us the ability to deduce to ourselves why the behavior committed was offensive and outrageous. I love your content !! I hope the moms can watch your videos and give us perspective of your outlines.

The treatment of Nia, Chloe, Brooke, and Paige is honestly awful

I wanna know why they skip over the talia situation. Like why was she randomly brought on as a guest dancer on a reunion show? Season 3 episode 0. I feel like Abby really wanted her to replace someone but it was never mentioned. And why was she given a shot on a reunion and not a shot on a regular episode? and how come we as the audience are not reminded that we’ve been introduced to talia before?

Erin making disgusting comments and using questionable methods with her students (like threatening to cut them from the team) doesn't impress me. Unfortunately, the dance world, especially in competitive dance, is filled with teacher abuses, body shaming, yelling, etc, most dancers just "get used to it"

Abby and the producers really had these moms fighting each other over scraps...

Do you have access to the production notes for the back end of Season 5? It would be really interesting to see videos explaining the background behind Kira and Abby's huge fight, as well as the solo showdown between Nia and Kalani right before Nationals and Abby's reaction to Nia winning.

I remember watching s5 with my mum and also by myself and we were both so confused as to why she was literally never at their training sessions, i felt so bad for the mums and the kids because they couldn't dance and they spent time away from their families and friends to be there, and abby was just disgusting that season. Honestly, if i rewatched, i'd want to skip s5. my mum thought she was on dr*gs or something that season because of her behaviour, it was just so random and awful.

The way my jaw dropped at Erin’s comments about the diets for her dancers. That literally is the reason girls their age develop eating disorders and is probably perpetuating disordered eating culture in the dance world. That’s absolutely disgusting.

You should look into what happened to the footage that we see in the sizzle? It drives me CRAZY that there are two episodes that were filmed before the pilot that we’ve seen minimal footage of.

JoJo is treated like absolute garbage by Abby and I can tell the girls didn't really like her back then either. I'm surprised she wanted to stay in such horrible circumstances

I remember these auditions and the produer was told by Abby that Nia changed the direction of the narrative and that's her mothers doing. Lisa did complent Nia on the direction she took the character. Abby was always undermining Nia

I thought there was built in drama of Maddie and Kalani going head to head in their solos. In the episode itself it does not even mentioned that Kalani had a solo. It was called Fragile Forest and she received a perfect score. Maddie also had a perfect score. So the judging panel had to work to figure out who would win. It did go to Maddie but I think this would have made for great TV and it actually happened.

If the moms' try to dismiss Abby's toxic teaching and behavior as 'tough love' then bring up when Abby told Kendall that the other people in rehearsal were a thousand times better than her. Not to mention when she indirectly was referring to Kendall (episode where the moms were keeping tallies of Abby's mean remarks and comments). Then again, the producers probably were involved with that, too- with the moms making comments in S5.

In all fairness, by this point Abby was also annoyed by other people getting to ride on the backs of her show, especially other dance studios. Almost understandable that she decided not to play in to this one

There is really no excuse for the mums behaviour but at the same time they are stuck in a contract and seed to get desensitized and stuck in their own kind of abuse cycle with Abby and production…
