This was an April fools joke for 2023, sorry to stop so many hearts ! LOL. Many of you commented that I was a "bugger" for doing this to you ... I guess I deserve that ,lol.

Shannon, you may not realize it but your channel is great entertainment for those of us who aren't (currently) undertaking a home improvement project. My 27-year-old special-needs son will never do his own project, but he will regularly watch you for hours as you build a shed, insulate a wall or put in a floor. Great entertainment. Thanks.

I was watching this a couple weeks later. I was devastated (before I got to the punchline)!! Oh Shannon, I was about to cry. Over the years, I have depended on your great DIY project videos. My husband and I have watched a great many of your videos, and executed the same work at our own home here in southeastern Connecticut (USA). Your tips and heads-ups have been invaluable, as you alerted us to things we would have probably done wrong or not considered left to our own devices. Your videos are very much appreciated!!! I never got fooled this bad in my life. I was in such shock that I could not even swallow. I’ve been a subscriber for YEARS and watched a ton of your videos, which have helped me so much. As far as I know, Shannon is the only person I know who puts out high quality home improvement tutorials but cuts out all of the unnecessary theatricals. Always straight to the point and very detailed. I am SO relieved that this was only a joke. I pray that God keeps you in good health so that you are able to continue producing incredible videos. Thank you for helping me tackle renovation projects that I never thought I could. You’re the man Shannon! 💪

Ha, you rascal:)! You got me; you had me to the very end of the video! As I listened, I was also empathic thinking to myself, yeah, I get it "burn out" is real and you can't ignore it. Ha ha, I also forgot it's April fools day:) We all need the balance and to follow our gut to do what's best but with this vid...I should have known better:) I've always felt you do everything with such attention to detail and with so much heart, I couldn't imagine you feeling burned out as it's crystal clear and so obvious you get to do what you love and love what you do for a living. Actually, what I've always enjoyed while watching your channel grow, is you (and your team idling in the background) remaining humble and grounded while presenting us with useful and professional high quality content without all the unnecessary "showboat" stuff which through your tenacity has grown to become the significant YT channel it is:) Thanks for all the hard work producing this content! I literally just discover your channel this week and I watched maybe ten of your wonderful videos and thought, wow - this is exactly what I needed as I'm planning to finally build my little dream cabin in the Northwoods of MN (they sound Canadian up there, too!). Got me! I’m so glad this was a joke. Your content is second to none and your always my go-to for any building project. The only complaint I have is that I finished my basement years before I found this channel, and now I want to tear it all out and start over to do it the right way. At the time, I didn’t know any better, but now all I see are the mistakes. Oh well, maybe I’ll redo it one day if I have the funds, but I thank you for helping so many of us learn from your vast knowledge and craftsmanship so that we can confidently tackle any home improvement project moving forward. Shannon you and your team has helped me as a new homeowner. Fixing broken siding from hockey pucks, wiring lights, and building decks just to name a few. I wish you were near me, I'd ask you to build my next home. Edit: That was a sick twisted joke, hat's off!
