That one level where he was pushing seven colored void blocks out into one flat plane... as a colorblind person, it was hard enough to follow what was going on. When Tyler started calling out colors incorrectly but following the correct path he couldn't articulate, that was the most confused ive been in this entire series.

21:20 For an explanation on this puzzle: The blocks are clones of the player , which is a 1x1 empty. When you have a block inside and push against the one in the clone, you're really pushing the one inside the player in the same direction into the clone, so you create a cycle. If either the clone or the player is flipped however, you're actually pushing the block out in the opposite direction, into the space where you want it. Pushing out the infinity block works in the same way.

Challenge 15 is insane The player controlled box is a 1x1 empty room The infinity box is the infinity of that 1x1 room The 5 other pink boxes are clones of that 1x1 room, and 3 of those clones are flipped Because the player box is an empty room, it can put other boxes inside itself, including putting the infinity inside itself - and then all the clones look like it does. It can also enter inside itself, which it does by trying to directly enter one of the clones of itself. If the clone is flipped it is going inside a flipped version of itself, and the flipped self also has eyes, so you see the actual eyes and the flipped eyes on top of each other as 4 eyes. When it's inside itself, since it's 1x1 it's always already at its own edge, so if it were to leave, it would exit itself infinitely so it would need to exit from the infinity block of itself instead. So whenever it goes directly inside itself we see it drawn on top of where the infinity block was in the actual level. So it's kind of like entering itself is like teleporting it to where the infinity is. EDIT: I managed to forget to explain how he's able to solve the level. The requirement to win the level is to get blocks onto the 4 outer targets, and also to be able to squish into the 3 3x3 blocks and push their blocks onto their 3 targets. When the player 1x1 is empty, then moving into any of the clones will cause infenter and essentially move thr player to the location of the infinity block as I said earlier. But... When the player is *_not empty,_* as in when it contains the inf block or contains one of the 3x3s, then the behavior when pushing toward one of the clones can get confusing. Sometimes when you push into a clone, the block you're holding just seems to cycle, and other times it does some other very visually weird thing and suddenly the box you were carrying has gotten onto the target that's opposite the clone you pushed into. So what's happening here? Say the player box is P and the clone is C. Suppose P has eaten a block, B (either the inf block or a 3x3). Assume P is trying to push rightward into C. When P pushes into C, C is either flipped *_(relative to P)_* or not. If C is not flipped, then the cycle happens (skip this paragraph for the other thing): P can't push C so P tries to enter C. C is a clone of P, so P is actually trying to enter itself P, rightward from its own left edge. The space P is trying to enter onto is occupied by B, so P tries to push it out of the way. B, is inside P and being pushed so it tries to move rightward, which would be exiting P. B tries to exit P but C is in the way. B can't push C so it tries to enter C. C is a clone of P so B is actually trying to enter P (which it is also exiting...). The space B would try to enter onto in P is occupied... by B itself. At roughly this point the B -> B push-cycle is detected and the rest of the chain resolves: P succeeds at pushing B rightward but doesn't move, and B succeeds at being pushed by moving rightward, out of P, into P, and pushing itself, in a very unique single-block-cycle clone-transfer. There is no net motion as a result of this move whatsoever. If C IS flipped, the weird "spitting out" of the held block happens: P can't push C so P tries to enter C. C is a *flipped* clone of P, so P entering C _rightward_ is actually P trying to enter itself _leftward_ from its own _right_ edge. The spot inside P that P is trying to enter onto is occupied by B, so P tries to push it out of the way. B being pushed - leftward!! - tries to move leftward, and this would be to exit leftward out of P. The space to the left of P is unoccupied, so B succeeds and the move resolves: P succeeds at moving rightward into its flipped self by pushing B leftward out of itself; B succeeds at moving leftward out of P into the unoccupied space. After this, B ends up on one of the outer targets and P ends up inside itself i.e. """inside of""" the infinity, and since C was flipped, necessarily with four eyes. I think this is technically the simpler interaction mechanically in the sense of having less layers, but it's complicated visually because you're seeing P enter itself in both directions, so every copy of P has itself entering rendered on it, plus they are all showing B getting pushed out but you can't actually see this happen because the camera periphery gets blacked out as you enter the clone and travel to the infinity.

@fangzhang9376
@fangzhang9376 2 жыл бұрын
@@jkst4268 Something I only realized a long time after solving this puzzle is, when you are inside yourself and you are 1*1, the graphics makes it seem like you are physically in the infinity block, which is not actually true because the infinite block is only an exit block and cannot contain anything. But remember how when you set up the paradox properly so that you can use the infinite exit, you see where you would end up across the level boundary? When you are 1*1, this happens for all four level boundaries.

SCP-#### The Cup Level Class: Safe Description: The Cup Level is in the final basement and is the last room of Site-19. Inside is a single cup in the corner of the room, upon entering, people will be compeled to look at the cup, those individuals will not feel any sort of anomalous effects at the moment. After leaving The Cup Level, individuals who have witnessed the cup, when trying to perform simple tasks, will never be able to complete it, throwing them into a state of rage depending on the temper of the individual. This can only be interrupted by an outside force, which will reveal to the individual that there was a cup obstructing their view of the problem. Several attempts to terminate The Cup Level have been made, none of them were successful, the simplest solution to this problem was to board the door to The Cup Level shut, the door is still not boarded shut

For the second level I don't think you've shown the entire solve. The whole point of this level is that in the beginning the yellow box was stuck to the wall above, and after pushing it in and out of the left entrance it could be moved one row lower, and that subtle change makes all the difference. You never showed you pushing the yellow block left into the lower area.

He's not the editor, so the editor for the video likely decided it was too simple looking to go in despite how vital it was to the solve. Idk, an editor's job in this case is not make a good guide but make a good entertaining video, so editor's in this set up are ~generally likely to drop content useful for other functions like the guide aspect to enhance what they are hired to do. It's one of my main gripes with being a "good editor," and in western media its been like this since US newspapers got serious with yellow journalism over a century before I was born. Obviously Great editors weave them together just fine, but Good is regularly good enough or wanted still, and it just bugs me when i think of it.

i think the confusing level player was a 1x1 level (like the one previous bonus level where you "stacked" boxes) also i think the 4 eyes is cuz your eyes were offset horizontally and since youre a flip level the recursive player kept being flipped including the eyes

the game is mindblowing, but the challenge levels were pretty much the only actually complicated (for me, seems they aren't for tyler). This makes me sad a little, I'm sure the ideas were left unexplored. Hopefully custom levels will step it up.

I recommend you to try Please Don't Touch Anything. Sounds a lot like "There is no game"? Is similar. Is a one screen puzzle game. I wont spoil.
