What's going on friends?!? SeanPierceJohnson here and today we're gathering to celebrate another AWESOME pedal release from Keeley Electronics...this is HYDRA a dual Reverb and Tremolo pedal.
Hydra builds on the ECCOS platform and uses it to re-create tones of yesterday and can seemlessly create tones for today.
Three reverb types, three tremolo types, stereo Inputs, stereo Outputs, tap tempo...but wait til you hear the tones!!!

Great review. What an awesome base amp sound from your Rockerverb as well. Clean and dirty alike. Amazing amp that really brought out the Hydra sounds across multiple genres.

Digging that Harmonic Tremelo... and that Vibrato effect is pretty cool but the Tremelo Sync...I wish my VOX did that! Keely is a genius!

ya man that's like an amazing song right there. I wrote in another video that he is so good I would buy his solo albums no lyrics any day :) writting it again. 26:07 is another song! and many others. heck there's a hole album just in this video, Stone rebel style stuff but better with more effects ;). Sean you know so many great chords and have the feel of a Genius, please when you get time make an album hehe I know I know you need time for the band first.

God I love your playing. what's your tunning and what's that chord at the 20:02 mark? oh ya your in something dropped. a vid on chords in drop would be cool :)

Woof…good question. Yes, tuning is just Drop D. It a way, it’s a sort of D/F# but a believe the B and High E ring out. Sooooo…maybe…D6add9???

I believe it was the Rockerverb’s Dirty Channel boosted with the Treble booster of the Strymon Compadre and some slight compression from the Compadre

Was it ran though the loop, or placed in-front of the amp?

through the loops. into the Rockerverb and out to the Input of Hydra and then out Stereo to Rockerverb & H+K Black Spirit 200

Tap tempo is a big deal for me with tremolo pedals, so in that respect I prefer Hydra. It has the basic sounds I want and is simple. The only thing Hydra can’t do is adjust waveforms and control the tone of the sound. I have the Hydra on my current pedalboard so that’s what I chose between the two.

thanks! the tele has McNelly's and I really like them. but the strings were VERY old when I recorded this

Yeah... the tele sounded thin and shrill. Didn't like it at all even if I love Telecaster and some icepick-y tones. That Tele had no body or soul at all.
