@@brucelau2023Why would you? This movie's EXACTLY like the movie "Simple Jack", from "Tropic Thunder", except that at the beginning of the movie, all the trailers for other movies, were all fake, and just made because Tropic Thunder was a satire of other film genre's. The entire thing was a joke movie about another movie the cast and crew were shooting for a fake documentary about a "real" fake war story movie. And that's why it worked out so well. Except it's like Fred Durst saw Tropic Thunder, only saw the Simple Jack trailer, and thought to himself:"hmm, why don't I make a shitty movie like that, except do it UNIRONICALLY, and pretend like I'm this super genius movie director, when I'm really just a hack?" Not sure about that last part though...maybe Durst added that part in later?

@abosier AEGreen never said or implied they were. The comment is only about the obvious plotholes, absurd behavioral patterns and inconsistent character traits in what is already a very bizarre story. Despite the protagonist's own lack of emotional intelligence, that actor part is actually my biggest issue with the film, too, because his (re-)actions make such little sense, especially for someone who's otherwise a loving, even-tempered parent. Even though Moose is not a child by law, he sure does have the immature, sensible, irresponsible temper of a child, and it's an educated guess to say someone with good parenting qualities would handle his childlike mind differently (if parenthood helps you develop one skill, it's patience + understanding). But snapping like that, cussing and executing extreme physical violence (instead of using legal ways and mens to keep that fanatic away)? - That is unusual for a loving parent.🤷🏽♀️

@Daisy Mae Hunter defending himself from a home invader absolutely. But he takes it too far, shooting off someone's fingers point blank with a shotgun sounds like a fucking torture method. Hunter could've easily knocked Moose in the face like twice and called the cops, but he took it too far. Keep in mind I never liked either of the characters because both are horribly unreasonable and Travoltas performance sucks balls, but the movie had no reason to become sadistic at the very end.
