The Final Months of Judy Garland (January - June 1969)

Ever since her death 44 years ago to this day, Judy Garland's final days have been recorded as "sad, tragic and heartbreaking", riddled with bad health and a growing addiction to medication and pills. Although to a certain extent, this is true, this video doesn't try to exploit the myth of a tragedy as Judy has so often been called. This video attempts to create an accurate description of her final months and portray Judy as being happy, content, energetic and had so much more to live for, but a sad turn of events cut her life short. Although this great lady is gone, her legacy lives on in the hearts of her adoring fans across the world. Rest In Peace Judy, we will never forget you!

@@anitastodolak9882 I saw her, at 16 years old, at the Opera House in Chicago. What I can remember clearly to this day, I'm 71, the overture was ending, I'm on the aisle 5th row, JUDY entered from the back of the house, slowly up the aisle past me, she was so tiny but there she is right in front of me. And as people recognized her more the crowd roared! I never ever came close in any concert, in all these years to the scream of love and adoration for any performer. You could feel the electricity in the air. When she climbed the stairs and hit the stage the roar shook the house. It was first real concert. Sept 67

This girl had REAL talent! Possibly too much for such a beautiful but delicate bloom like her to contain. Hollywood used her and crushed her, but her true fans kept her going. Poor Judy 💔... the life she should have had was battered this way and that, and worse, by people she thought she could trust! It's a crying shame what happened to her, though she did have some glorious times in her all too short and tragic life. Judy, you were one of the brightest stars in Hollywood's history, and now in God's universe! Rest in peace you lovely, unbelievably talented lady xxxx

Today, 2016, I am lucky enough to remember the faboulous chance I had by asisting to see one of her last appearences. In 1969, while visiting London, I was invited to THE TALK OF THE TOWN (EX.hYPPODORME). And there she was, my idol, still full of wonderful talent, giving all of herself in an unforgetable concert. There is a song abour"when I'm 64". Well, I gor to 84 and luckily, witness of beautiful events thtt enriched my life. But Garland's last oincert, is proibably, my greatest treasure.

Tomorrow - June 22, 2014 - marks 45 years since Judy Garland departed from the world in 1969. As I was unable to put together a tribute video to commemorate this year's anniversary in time, I will share last year's honest but respectful chronicle of Judy's final months. Judy will never be forgotten and although the lady is gone, the legend remains. R.I.P. Judy Garland, my idol and hero. I love you so much!

She seemed happy..New Marriage..and Handsome Gorgeous Adoring Husband ..Booked Concert Dates in London. That Woman Could Sing like No other..Just Wonderful....It was the start of a New life for her....She didnt need to make a comeback. Because She was never really Forgotten...Despite what was going on with Studios back then.. she was always a Fan Favorite. Her Addiction issues was a Hindrance..and Studios didnt want.to take the chance with her in that condition....Studios catered to the New and The Next Big Thing ..Her Career Decline Came with Studios wanting to build up and Establish the Next Generation of New and Younger Talent.. That happens ..I don't know if the kind of Comeback....She hoped for was even possible...Today's Entertainers are a Brand...and in that day and time...which would was not done and would have really been Something New.. Trailblazing...a head of its time.. A Comeback was Possible..She would have been great in Broadway productions. And when a Good film role came along..fine if it was offered and she wanted to do it.... She would have had to Seriously Rehab to do it..Sometimes I wonder what and how people define What a True Comeback is..and Why they want.it..(Alot of Singers today do a concert mixture of Current Top 40, Vintage Classics and Fan Favorites..Top 40 to connect to The New and younger Audiences..Vintage Classics to connect to Audiences of a older age..and The Fan Favorites of Course) ...She did make a Comeback in a way..With Each New Generation People are loving and Enjoying her Concert Videos.. Music and Movies for the first time..
