The field can be a fun 'side bet'. It's not a bad bet at all assuming that you are at least payed triple for boxcars or snake eyes. If you can find one that has 3-1 payoff on both 2 & 12 then that's the best bet at the table! Of course those are exceptionally rare I think Iv'e only seen a couple of those in the states.

As far as I know this triple on the 12 has never happened in the East coast of the USA and probably never will. That would dramatically increase the players chance of winning.

that type of betting system is no matter how high you get your bet, you will only win $1.00 when your number hits. for example if you bet $1 and lose then you next bet $2 and lose you are now down $3...then if you double and bet $4 and lose you are now down $7...then you bet $8 and lose, you are now down $15...now you double again and bet $16 and win, you win $16 but you are already down $15 so you win $1.00. now how the casino will always win is the 'Table Max'. lets say the max bet is $100 and you just lost $1, $2, $4, $8, $16, $32, and $64, the next bet in line would be $128 but that is over the table max and basically you are screwed ... and losing 7 bets in a row is very common at a casino
