@@retroguy9494 Felix Silla died April 16 at age 84. For being all but unrecognizable to the general public (but an icon to so many hardcore fans), he had an incredible career that involved some of the most beloved franchises of all time, from The Addams Family to Star Wars, ....Maybe I should have had a career writing obituaries, huh? Instead, I chose drag queen. Sigh.

@@giggles7179 Hey! You can write MINE!😃 That was a pretty good write-up you gave him! I'm surprised the paper didn't have anything on him. As for the news, I guess I was too caught up in the Duke's death and funeral to notice it if they DID mention it. And why can't you do both? You can write obituaries under your stage name! 😁
@giggles7179

@@retroguy9494 Ha! I somehow don't think too many family members would take kindly to an obituary for their loved ones credited to a "Miss Giggles" (which in honesty is actually not my stage name, but fits surprisingly well for this instance)....unless it was an evil old uncle they'd been waiting to die for years and they find an ironic, dark humor in it. And the conversation comes full circle back to the Addams Family.... ....Oh! And I accept....be sure to let me know when you pass. I'll have a(n?) Ouija planchette under one hand and an obit template on my screen. Happy trails!

I clicked this video because I love the Adams family, then I realized this cemetery is where I have three family members buried. I was mind blown because I haven't visited since I was like 12, I'm 20 now and I might just go visit today. It's even more cool to know that they're buried in the same cemetery as famous people.

I mean ZERO disrespect saying this but……why is it a big deal that your(or anyone else for that matter)family member(s) are buried in the same cemetery as anyone else, famous or not? Again, I mean disrespect. I hope this translates the same as it does in my head and my comment is context correct.

Lugosi was buried in a Dracula cape. He had several that he owned through his life but it wasn't the iconic cape from the film. The Dracula cape from the 1931 film was in the possession of Bela Jr. for many years and now it was donated to the new Academy Motion Picture Museum that will be on display for everyone to see. Trick Or Treat Studios had the pleasure to examine the cape before it was donated and they offer an exact replica of the cape licensed from Lugosi Enterprises

I worked in the funeral business in So. California in the 80's and had to deliver, at night, to a crematory next to Carolyn Jone's niche. It was a spooky place as is, but once I saw a foot exiting the window to the crematory as I entered and that made things worse. Turns out the owner's daughter was dating a thief/druggie who broke in to steal stuff and it was his foot I saw.

We met him at an autograph session in Cherry Hill NJ in 2005 or 2006. Astin is a big Poe fan and he and my partner were speaking so long about how Poe died that the line behind us kept growing and growing. I literally had to pull him away as people were getting impatient. At the time, Astin was teaching English at the Univ. of Maryland. You are right, he is a super nice guy.

Side note: I grew up at the height of the 3D theater craze. So much of a fan of Vincent Price, Carolyn Jones, and Charles Bronson, when it became available I purchased a 55", 1080p, HD 3D TV and a copy of "The House of Wax" in the original 3D format (along with "The Creature from the Black Lagoon" and a digitally 3D remastered copy of "The Wizard f OZ" among other titles). Since the theaters are so very lax in showing the old classic 3D horror films, I decided that I would get set up at home for as long as my flat screen lasts (unfortunately it's almost impossible to find them anymore 😢).

Thank you for doing these vids of historic actors final resting places. I often think about their final resting places when they come to mind. It's sad they are eventually forgotten except in possible biographies or "behind the scenes" shows. None ever visit their graves which I think should be part of the biography experience. I'm sure they enjoy the company. There's a reason for the headstones. They're meant to be scene and remembered. Glad I stumbled upon you in my recommendations.
