The GREATEST Spiritual Knowledge in the World Exposes Identity as BULLSH*T

What is the nature of your identity? Do you know your original nature before your identity was formed? In a world excessively focused on being a unique identity, the great Eastern spiritual traditions have a different take on what the identity is and instead explain why the identity itself serves as a blockage to God-realization. Let's find out why.

Is identity the same as personality?
@jamesearlcash1758
@jamesearlcash1758 Жыл бұрын
Here is a more easier and simpler way to explain why identities are bullshit and it can cut down on your talking time. Here it is in a nutshell: A social construct is a predetermined and rigged concept that exists not in objective reality, but as a result of subjective and divisive human interaction. it exists because humans agree that it exists or in our case we are born into it without our complete awareness because it was purposely designed to manipulate our perceptions, emotions, motivations and actions.

When I was 3 years old I remember the moment I came to the understanding I was a person in world. I also realized I was given a name but that it did not constitute what or who I was. It was just a name. I used to get in trouble with my dad because I didnt respond to it as a boy sometimes. His ego went thought of it as disrespect. I simply wasnt attached to it in a way that caught my attention immediately. I never lost sight of this. To this day I still feel that same space I discovered as a young boy with a curious mind. A beginners mind

Thank you for this enlightening video. Isn’t amazing how cute animals, pets or wild, have the ability to erase instantly any negative state of mind we may be in? It’s like our sense of identity suddenly dissolves in an undifferentiated ocean of love where there’s no sense of ‘I’ any longer. I love those moments with my old little dog ❤

Dissolution of the egoic self-image creates a beautiful harmony in the realization of our pure nature. The more of us that go inward to understand this knowledge on an experiential level, the more we can overflow our being outward to others and naturally lead by example. We flow like water and sway to the dance of Life, rooted in gratitude and compassion we know it to be a perfect, imperfect entropy that is a balance of All That Is. Thank you, Jason, for being a true pioneer of this gift that is the knowing (and the journey) of our true, tranquil existence.

Thank you Jason, this world needs more content like this. One incredible thing that I find is that my identity with the material is stronger in some parts of my life, in others I truly feel I am Brahman. And even when I identify more with the ego Brahman never changes, it's watching. Now I am in a part of my life that when I go into ego mode I stop and remind myself what I truly am, and is beautiful, it's always here. It's awful when I forget, but that's the way of things.

For the longest time I felt my identity was only a mask that I needed to wear in order to participate in this theatrical play of life. And I was interacting with others who were wearing masks too, but most of them believing that their masks were who they essentially were. Death being simply the discarding of the mask. What lies behind the mask? What is left when you perceive EVERYTHING as "I am not this or that or even that."

Im not sure how to ask this question but I am finding that there is a couple conflicting thoughts in my head with whats being said ( which it seems like there is alot of paradoxical statements in the Tao which is perfectin itself). So here is my question: if we shouldnt be concerned with the world, this and that, and let people just be, then would people still do better by the earth? Is trying to spread information on how to be better to the earth or live a healthier life a form of Maya? Where is this line drawn? Also your videos and wisdom have helped me so much so thank you for that.

This fictitious self, the ‘me’ can be compared to a cloud-vapor in the sky. The cloud appears, covers up the sun, claiming to be in front of it, not knowing that it was formed from the sun-heat, and for a little while displays all kinds of activities. Look what I can do- thundering, lightning, snow, hail, rain and suddenly the wind comes along, blows it all out, the cloud disappears and the sun shines again. In actuality it never stopped shining, it was just temporarily covered up by the cloud. And when the sun was asked about the cloud the answer was; what cloud? The sun is not aware of any clouds it just shines equally on everything. And so, it is with us. The artificial “false sense of self” assumes separate entity, calls it ‘ME’ thinking that it’s the doer-maker of everything. Where in fact I AM-BEING is the ultimate doer, and we don’t need a proof of that. We know that everything we do, there is I AM in front of it. I AM walking, I AM talking, I AM writing, I AM eating, I AM doing and so on. But there is no walker-only walking, no talker-only talking, no writer-only writing, no eater-only eating, no doer-only doing, there is no one there. So, I AM-BEING-CONSCIOUSNESS is the ultimate reality, (the sun). The egoic mind the “me” I’m this and I’m that, I’m so and so.(the clouds) And notice that there is no difference in mankind, male and female says I AM just the same. We understand physical and psychological difference of female body, male body, female psyche, male psyche, but I AM always remaining the same and that goes for all the people all over the world. Do you know anybody who doesn’t say I AM? -the language might be different that’s all. Knowing this being, awareness of I AM, it destroys all divisions among us, humans. The division comes from the ‘ME’, separate “illusory sense of self”, not from I AM. So, I AM is life-our-existence, cosmic energy, consciousness, the immovable mover ,call it what you like, in its pristine state as-I AM. It’s not an Enigma, and is so close, it is within us, nothing is more intimate than I AM. As long as we don’t add anything to it. When I say I’m John, I’m a carpenter, I’m a doctor, I do this for a living, I have experience in this or that, there is no danger in it. It only describes something. But when we say I’m proud, ambitious, good, nice, the best, succeeded, achiever, superman, very important and many other fictitious labels, then it becomes separate illusory self with no existence of its own and so much trouble as a result. I AM doesn’t say this, it is the voice of the ‘ME’- person. Remember the allegory of a cloud-vapor?

100%, Jason. The persona is definitely the biggest obstacle on the spiritual path. Here's what's even sadder, in a more worldly sense: I remain politically engaged on issues involving economic inequality, but I'm always trying to explain to people that, because our government has been completely captured by corporate interests, there are no electoral solutions to the mess the US (and most of the world) is in. Congress doesn't serve us, they serve the capital order, the owner class and multinational corporations. That's the merger of corporate and government power, called corporatism, but aka, fascism. There are zero regulations of the market (a legitimate function of government, imo) but yet increasing regulations on our personal autonomy, or lack thereof. Women don't even have rights to their own reproductive organs!! These are important subjects, imo, but unfortunately people are distracted by all this culture war BS, arguing over pronouns and bathrooms. I think humans are awesome, but society is insane. ✌❤🔥👁

Humans are adaptive and evolutionary. Otherwise, humanity shall have perished since time immemorial! 😊 When Confucius met a farmer during his countryside exclusion, who told him ( to paraphrase), _"Kung Tzu, don't try to set the world to One's order because the World can always set itself to order all the time since time immemorial. Otherwise humanity shall have perished a long, long time ago!"_ Confucius was stunned by the wisdom of the farmer. 😊

This is the ultimate aim of Hinduism breakibg the ego and then findings the real Atman.... Carl Jung was heavily inspired from Hindu Ideas and you will see lot of common grounds. I agree but I will still not everyone has to be detached. The world has to continue because even that Maya is part of that infinite being. So, either you leave this world get detached and have no ego. Or you live as karmyogi where you know in reality this is temporary journey but still be part of it. You know ego and Maya but still be part of it. The idea is to be being of highest value and following Dharma . This is why their are few spiritual seekers and most are living their life but the choice is yours to live blindly my life, world, this is reality or you know it's illusion. In the end even the person with highest spirituality gift would have ego and attachments and this will only end when the body is destroyed and for most this goes on for life..

Every soul has unique experiences throughout lifetimes, which would in a sense be an identity. I think the biggest thing is getting people to understand that they aren't humans but souls having a human experience. An atheist who thinks he's human but doesn't know he's a soul would be a mistaken identity.

Everyone is different. Each person creates his or her unique reality and there are no rules that apply to all people. Each person is able to create their personal reality according to the individuals beliefs about reality. You are not the same as anyone else. Nor should you be teaching anyone what anyones identity or self-image is. You are one of many selves that your inner self is. My inner self and your inner self are not the same. Although you could say we are all made of All That Is… All That Is purposefully released parts of him/itself so that we could express ourselves as All That Is in as many infinite worlds as possible and use our consciousness with wild abandon, creating worlds and being differing identities. It’s not important to teach someone to think like yourself. This is quite narrow minded and there is no emptiness in fact there are infinities of identity that you get to choose to identify with. What you are striving for is not creativity not life giving. To believe you are nothingness, is not helpful. And quite frankly it would be a very boring existence to be an unchanging state of nongrowth. So please don’t teach people to become nothingness. We are already free so trying to be free is defeating your self.

well, i understand that umbalancing yourself because of political bias it isnt the right posture to follow on a spiritual path, howerver ignoring the hole destructive path MAYA enjoyers are weaving to existence is not a spiritual path either, take for exemple on mahabarata when arjuna is afflicted by the situation that he is put on and Krishna comes to hes aid to enhance hes perspective of reality. So alienation of materiality has its role on breking espiritual path.
