Today we take a look at Ivinghoe Turf AKA Ivinghoe Movie Lot, Vicarage Farm, Ivinghoe, Leighton Buzzard LU7 9DY.
The large construction in the field made me look a little further into what was happening.
We cycle as far onto site as we could before security got involved.
We speak to the Turf company on site and let them know about the video and drone flight.
After speaking to locals, it turns out it could be the set for the upcoming movie Wicked: Part One - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wicked:...
More research shows its likely to be the set of the town "Rush Margins” where Elphaba grew up in the Wicked story - wicked.fandom.com/wiki/Rush_M...

Film set staff including their security are the rudest people you will ever meet, they filmed in our street once for a program called 'Pie in the Sky' they setup all their equipment on our property and driveway without even asking. If they would have simply been polite and respectful we would have allowed it, but just trespassing on someone's front lawn and drive is just not acceptable. They think they are above the law.

@Stewart Beveridge non disclosure agreement. If they were to even mention that it was a film set, there would be court action against them. So their behaviour, however deplorable it is, can be understandable to some degree because with DJ filming them, the pressure is on to keep their jobs.

How ineffectual were those one dimensional security guards. It was like they were unable to have a lateral thought. The gent in the red & black checkered jacket was so lovely, and DJ, the shots of he are award-winning, The backdrop of the colours of the moody sky and vegetation. The fellows at the end….just the icing on top!

(not saying its right) but where I am from they made a multiple sitcoms round where I live if they have local authoritythey can block footpath, road, and fields, drones how ever is another matter that is still gray...

Nothing is 'PRIVATE ' anymore. If it is not blocked or covered in every way then it can be filmed or pictures taken of the said area. I don't know why people think they own the airspace over their land as well as on the ground 😕 Good video 👍

Yep there is a difference between a private residence and open business property with nothing to stop people wandering on to the property. Even then they can eject someone just because they have done the equivalent of putting one foot one foot on the property.

People in Britain sadly don’t even own their homes that’s the reality . If you want to make changes you have to ask permission to build in your own garden. You need permission for certain size fences and sheds . This is hardly ownership is it? More importantly you don’t own the tiny patch of pavement in the front of your house but you’ weed it and keep it clean too. The council rarely come by to weed pavements . In other countries across the world you actually own the land and the house and can do alterations like this without seeking “permission”

Locals, nice and a lesson on telemetry on canals thrown in...security, not so nice! Funny Country we're living in these days. Clarkson isn't allowed to make a new farm track on his own land ,yet all this is going on here under a different authority. Some interesting insights recently about how the entertainment industry perceive us mere mortals. This one, AB (at Specsavers) and Reggie (BBC at Blackpool). Ivanhoe Turf is only 31 miles from the new Sky Studios Elstree in Hertfordshire. Sky have confirmed one of the the first blockbusters movies to be made there will be Wicked 1, there will be a Wicked 2 to follow by all accounts. Nice audit, one to keep an eye on in the future. 🏆🏅😀

Its a canal not a river, so those banks wont be affecting any flood relief.

Nice little orange bike. I like it. The British countryside is really lovely as well. All these little paths and walk ways. So nice the have that. Hope it will always be there for people. Don’t ever urbanise it. That would be a big mistake.

You should try sending a drone over the shinfield studios (berkshire) that they are currently building. Signs up everywhere saying no drones and people will be prosecuted for doing so. There's also a part that's been built and they have a starwars set

Great video DJ 👍🏼😊. They aren’t renting the field because the film set doesn’t exist 😂😂😂. You dealt with the stuck-up security very well. So funny that they denied it yet there’s a planning application about it 😆. Really nice conversation with the Mazda chap at the end. Let’s hope he takes his Mini 2 over as well 🛸😁 I’d be well miffed we were doing that walk and had to look at that hideous metal screening. Big respect to the guys on the towpath at the end as well…and one was even a viewer 😂👍🏼
