Future? What do you mean? Half Life took place in the 80s. Half Life 2 took place in 2004. This takes place somewhere in between.

@@alexanderbrambila8274 Not sure what you mean. Half Life 2 takes place in 2004. Alyx is approximately 24 years old in HL:2. She's 19 in HL:A, so HL:A takes place approximately in 1999. That is by all means the past (at least from our perspective). It's not very 'futuristic' of a game from 2020 which takes place in 1999 to have a 1911 in it.
